Geneva is ok there is some tension between the locals and the students. But it is a really small town.

Some Tension – The local people of Geneva have mixed feeling about the school. Many of the students come from quite wealthy families in contrast to the mainly lower middle class families of Geneva. To say there is a social gap between those attending (and most of those working or having to do with the colleges) the colleges and the town is an understatement. The colleges have many different programs that engage students in community service and help to unite the two communities. HWS is actively involved in giving back to Geneva and making it a better place. Whether or not some of these ideas and services are welcomed by the townspeople is a different story.
There are vineyards and some good local restaurants in Geneva. The Waterloo Outlet Mall is a short drive from campus in neighboring Waterloo. Shopping in downtown Geneva is minimal.

The town is very small, if you live in a big city it is very hard to adapt. They are few places to eat. There are few places to drink. THere are few places to do almost anything.

There isn't much in Geneva, but there is so much to do on campus that it really doesn't matter. Also, there is tension between locals and college students, most likely do to the socio-economic divide. Townies think we are obnoxious rich kids, and many students think Genevans are hood rats. However, I found this to be the case with most private colleges located in small towns. Besides locals, the town has everything you actually need Wegmans, Walmart, and many small restaurants.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
