Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Living on Long Island, you have to expect that everything is going to be a little pricey. That definitely includes food. Going to eat at any of the restaurants around the mall or down the street from the school, you have to be ready to shell out some serious cash. If you go to Garden City, expect to pay even more. Some places do offer discounts to Hofstra students, but they tend to be your regular pizza shops or delis. At the more fancy places, you'll have to pay full price.

If you want to go to a decent restaurant for a "decent" price, Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang's, Tin Alley, or Houlihan's are probably your best bets. They're not incredibly expensive, and the food is good. Anything else might be a little out of the average college student's price range.

Dining Is Good

The meal plans don't have enough money for the whole semester. The food is pretty good and there is a wide variety of places you can eat at with lots of different options.
