Financial Aid at Hofstra

My experience with Hofstra's financial aid has been bitter sweet. The fact that I am a nontraditional student who is a single mom has not had any impact on my financial aid package because Hofstra sets aside a lot of its grants and funds for incoming Freshman.

Financial Aid

The financial aid office is usually a pain in the neck, I personally have had trouble with them for the simple fact that one person didnt know what the other was doing so I would get different information from different individuals. However they have made and improvment in assigning a designated financial aid counselor to each student, this helps eliminate the confusion. Also they are not very understanding when it comes to payment and latness or inability to pay
