Bye-Bye Hofstra Football

Hofstra lost its football team this past year. I understand the rationalization behind it, but it's our football team and an imperative part of homecoming! If they wanted more support, they should garner it. If they want more support for any of the other teams, they should really get on that.

Be Careful Past Sunset

Hofstra University is located in a sketchy part of Long Island, where if you turn left out of campus, you'll see a beautiful park. But, if you turn right, you will be entering a poverty-stricken area where gang fights and violence is common. Beware, because that's where all the college bars are.

Living

Living at Hofstra is a 50/50 chance that you will either love it or hate it. A lot of the facilities on campus need massive renovations. There are some rooms that have black mold. Residential programs as well refuses to understand that there is a need for high maintenance in the buildings and also there is a need for better living. Cost is too much, however, it is convenient if you are an involved person on campus and also it helps your social life because you will be available for a lot of things on campus.
