Tips for Getting In
  • Get involved in your high school community through clubs, organizations, and student government. Prove to the admissions committee that you would be a great addition to the Hollins community.
  • Maintain a high GPA. You only need a 2.0 to get in, but if you want merit scholarships, you should strive for at least a 3.0.
  • Study up on the Hollins mission statement, its traditions, its academic strengths, etc.
  • Visit campus. If you turn in your application in person, the $40 application fee is waived!
  • Write a killer essay. Work on it way before the deadline, and ask one of your teachers to read over it before you turn it in.
