Hot, Hot, and Hotter

It's decent enough living on campus. The apartments are nice but some of the on campus dorms need serious renovation. I know it won't hurt students but there are quite a few of them without air conditioning during the hot months. When it gets hot to the point where students feel sick and cannot eat, it's a bit ridiculous.

The kitchens are nice and some places are more updated than others. The one place that was the best to live was the freshman dorm that actually had air conditioning.

Living on campus, however, means that I'm in the center of all the activity.

Fairly Impressive

Hollins University and the students that go there are all female, but the community has a very strong sense of acceptance for who each individual is or wants to be. As a result of this, Hollins students seem to have more confidence regardless of sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, political beliefs, economic background or religion. Unfortunately, though the school accepts and welcomes all types of people, there is an obvious difference in the number of white students versus the number of minority students.
