Clubs and Organizations on Campus
It's easy to join clubs at Hollins or even start your own! Because of the small student body, attaining club leadership positions is much easier at Hollins than on a larger campus. Some of the most active clubs are Outloud (gay-straight alliance), SHARE (community service organization), BSA (Black Student Alliance), and Grapheon (literary interest club), to name only a few. Most students join at least one club and find that it's a great way to meet friends with similar interests. All official clubs are funded by the Student Government Association (SGA), and for clubs to continue to receive these funds, a representative from each organization must attend weekly SGA Senate meetings. To start a new club, all you have to do is write a club constitution and present it at Senate.
