Off-Campus Housing at Hollins

Finding housing off campus at Hollins is pretty difficult. They don't have any cheap housing near the campus and the ones that are are kind of run down and in sketchy neighborhoods. If you room with someone its not so bad; you can find some nice places. Personally, I think it would be cheaper than living on campus, but if you want the social interaction with peers, on campus is you best bet.

People Play Sports Here?

Ummm...I had friends who played sports but the closest I came was considering golf. Athletics aren't huge at Hollins and unless we're playing a rival (i.e. Sweet Briar), I don't know who actually goes to games.

The athletic facilities are decent. I think the best thing related to that would be the pool. The gym stays open fairly late and its best to go at night or in the middle of the day because that's when its emptiest.

Hollins is pretty good about offering pretty decent PE classes so look for those and sign up early. Chances are if it appeals to you, it'll appeal to a bunch of other girls.
