The professors in my major are wonderful. They are always there to help each individual student. Their dedication to helping students achieve their goals is very high. I was having problems with registering for my classes because there was no avaliablity, and they worked me in just in time. I love the dedication and the in depth curriculum that the school teaches us.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The financial aid process started off on the rocky side, but once i got everything in order i did recieve the full financial aid amount. I am a mother of three, and it is difficult to work and take care of them with a job and attending school full time. Therefore, fincial aid has been a blessing in disguise to me because i can focus not only on a better career, but also having the time to take care of my girls in the process.

I am an education major, and i have grown to love my major. I enrolled into this major with the thought that i would learn the basics about children, but a few weeks into my first semester i fell in love with my major. Not only is the curriculum very interesting, the teachers and the atmosphere in the classroom is amazing. I have three girls of my own, and this major has taught me so many positive aspects on how to raise and teach childeren. These classes have not only given me the knowledge to teach future children; it has helped me understand the importance to what an adults role is in bringing up children in a creative enviroment.

The school i attend is overflowing with diversity. There are students of all ages and stages in their life currently. Many of the students attending HGTC are coming back to earn a degree to better themselves, and/or their family. The student body is very diverse, but the good thing about this is that it allows all age groups of the community to come together and help eachother follow through with there future careers.

some professors are amazing and willing to teach others are there for a paycheck and makes the learning experience unpleasant.
College Senior 2013-10-12T13:54:31Z
I fell HGTC is like any other community college. Nothing fancy just a money pit

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The ease of applying for FA is wonderful. What I do not like is that the school does not release FA funds at the beginning of the semester. They hold the funds, give credit for books and supplies only in the school's bookstore, and finally release funds one month after classes start. This forces you to purchase books and supplies from the campus store unless you have funds available from another source.

I have had a wonderful experience at the school. The employees go above and beyond to help the students. Availability of classes makes it easy to attend day, evening, and online classes.

The services are available, but you have to search for them. They are not advertised well.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The education I'm getting is worth the money, however it is extremely expensive. The dental hygiene program is 5 semesters and the total costs is over $17,000. I do receive some financial aid but it's not enough. I'm going to have to take out some loans which scares me a little, but the process is easy if you start early. The only thing I don't like is how the school chooses some students to complete the verification process but not others.

I am a dental hygiene major. My prerequisite classes weren't all that easy, but that is to be expected. I did well in all those courses because l am a very determined individual. The dental hygiene program is a limited access program and they only accept the top 18 applicants once a year. I was one of those accepted so I will began my journey this fall. I am excited beyond words can describe and I believe the prerequisites have helped me prepare for what's yet to come.

The computer network has had its share of issues with being able to log on to the school website. It seems like on the first day of each semester the school network is extremely slow because every professor is trying to use it, and show the students how to work everything.

Horry Georgetown is a great path to sucess by their variety of different programs they offer. They have everything from culinary and cosmetology to nursing and dental hygiene. I think this school is a great alternative to a 4 year college/University because you can end up saving a lot of money in the long run and still receive a great education.

When I started at HGTC I took all morning classes, Monday through Thursday 8 am until 1 pm. When I started my new job and needed to switch to internet classes and night classes toward the middle of the semester, the teachers had no problem accommodating me. Everything went as smoothly as possible, and I was able to finish up my classes on time.

Most students seem pretty serious about their education. The only thing I do not like about the student body is that there area great deal of "early college" students (high school students) who take away from the learning experience with their immaturity, class disruptions, and giggling.

When I took my resume to the Career Resource Center at HGTC they helped me to develop a resume that eventually landed me a job within my major/degree before I even graduated!

The campus resources at HGTC are pretty decent. They have a decent gym, a lunch room for students, a cafe. What I really enjoy the most about HGTC is their library staff. They go above and beyond the call of duty to help students through their college career.

I won't start school until Fall of 2013. I'm a first time college student.

I don't spend too much time looking or doing anything except for classes.

As a Nursing major, a majority of my classes haven't been too overwhelming, but aren't extremely easy.
College Sophomore 2013-08-01T21:59:17Z
None of the class times interfere with another except for one medical class I'm taking. They offer many different times and days.

The professors have been helpful when I had questions about the course. They provided easy to understand answers and directions.
