Houston Community CollegeCareer Services Summary

 Houston Community Colleges hosts between three and four career fairs per year. Depending on their department, students can participate in study abroad programs, externships, co-op placements, and work study jobs to boost their resume.

The HCC Web site and Career Services provides the following services: career assessment and planning, job listings (updated weekly), individual counseling and coaching, and internship opportunities. Seminars on interview techniques, business etiquette, resume and cover letter writing, dressing for success, and job hunting skills are held regularly. Career development software is provided along with a free resume fax service. Many HCC departments have partnerships with companies in the area that offer employment-related opportunities to students. Most students in workforce programs have a job upon graduation.
