Howard University was recently ranked the second best dressed school in the country (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/06/27/the-best-dressed-colleges_n_885303.html#s297233&title=Howard_University). The fashion that you will find on campus isn't exclusive to the females. Girls and guys alike dress to impress across the campus. The university's fashion sense represents the creativity possessed by many of its students. That creativity spills over in other ways as well. As evidenced by alumni like Zora Neale Hurston, Taraji P. Henson, and Debbie Allen, the students of Howard not look the part, they ARE the part, graduating to become noted in their fields.

Good Looking, but Not a Good Variety!

The ratio of girls to guys are really poor, girls almost double the amount of guys. The guys here obviously love it, but it's definitely harder for girls.

Absolutely Stunning

Girls and guys are generally so attractive, that both have trouble looking away from each other. That said, the pretty girls know that they are pretty and the attractive guys know exactly which girls are interested in them, so it is very important not to sound too eager to approach someone. Sweatpants are definitely looked down upon on campus unless they are worn by an athlete. The typical uniform for a girl would include cute jeans and a nice top,or a dress with designer shoes and handbag, with some kind of jewelry. Guys typically wear jeans and a jacket, topped off with a hat and the latest sneakers. Relationships get very sticky around campus because many people will be attracted to the same girl or guy, and Howard is much smaller than it sounds. Everyone knows everyone, and there is always someone watching that will assume the worst. If you come to Howard thinking that your personal style won't change, you're wrong. You will become more refined, classic, and you will be influenced by styles from all over.
