Computer labs are crowded near finals. The network randomly stops working for a day at times.

Varsity sports at Howard is not anything to scream about. School spirit is pretty low because we basically suck at every sport.

The computer lab at Howard is crowded the most around the end of the semester when it's finals time. On a regular day during the week, there may be few computers available, but it's not a long wait for one to become open.

I don't know much about the athletic facilities, but the student center is okay. A lot of students go there to socialize with their friends. The libraries are nice and very convenient.

The house parties within blocks...

The house parties within blocks from campus tend to be pretty fun. The club scene in DC is pretty good, too. Two of the most popular clubs that most of the students go to are Fur and Love.

Howard is a very fashionable...

Howard is a very fashionable school, and both the guys and the girls dress very well. There aren't that many attractive guys—you can find a few here and there—but they are nice and cool.

Parking is absolutely horrendous...

Parking is absolutely horrendous at Howard. People get tickets like it's nothing, and I would definitely recommend that freshmen leave the cars at home.

You need an Ethernet cord here...

You need an Ethernet cord here unless you have a computer with a strong wireless card, such as a Mac. Yes, each student should bring a computer.

Our football team isn't the best....

Our football team isn't the best. The swim team has done excellent, and the softball is pretty good. The track team is all good.

Intramurals are the only sports on...

Intramurals are the only sports on campus people get a little excited about. Otherwise, people refuse to sit around and watch loss after loss—it's sickening. They need to not give out sports scholarships here.

The facilities on campus could use a bit of work. Only the Health Sciences Library is really nice. Blackburn Café looks very pleasing.

I attend a historically black university, so most of the students are of African descent, but we do have people of other races at our school. There are different political views and religions throughout Howard, which are all respected.

DC is crowded but fun, and there...

DC is crowded but fun, and there is always something to do. Also in DC are Georgetown University, American University, George Washington University, and the University of Maryland. Two hours away is Hampton University, which is our rival college but an overall good school. Visit Chinatown, it is always busy.

Sports on campus aren't that big mainly because our teams aren't really that good. However, there is a team for just about any sport.

There is a wide range of people that go here from all over the country and world. I can't really say there's a typical student, but it's a great learning experience.

The food on campus has definitely been getting better. The café has improved so much, but I typically eat in the Punch Out, which is good.

Students should always bring a laptop when coming to Howard. There is a general wireless connection for students, but it is weak in certain locations. Always have an Ethernet cord on hand. Computer labs are always crowded, and there are top-of-the-line computers in each one.

The parties on campus are great, and house parties are within the vicinity of the school. The bars and clubs around DC are fine. Love, Lucky Strikes, and other neighboring colleges are great places to party.

Campus police at Howard University is a joke.

Greek life is here for parties,...

Greek life is here for parties, on-campus events, and community service. At Howard, being the home of a lot of Alpha chapters, Greek life plays a humongous role in the social scene. If you are in one, you will be viewed in a new light.

There are days when the computer labs are crowded, but then there are days when you can find a computer without any problems. A student should definitely bring a computer.

The Health Sciences Library is magnificent.

The guys on campus are very...

The guys on campus are very attractive, focused, and Christian. The females are motivated, stylish, beautiful (inside and out), and down-to-earth. The downside is that women outnumber men tremendously.

We may not look very diverse, but...

We may not look very diverse, but if you take a walk on the Yard and listen to all the different accents and regional inflections, you can see that everybody comes from all sorts of different backgrounds.
