Transferring from UC Merced to Humboldt State University

Hey I'm thinking of going to uc merced for my freshman year, but I really like humboldt as well, but I didn't apply there. My question is how can I transfer after freshman year and go to Humboldt for my sophomore year? What's it like transferring is it easy and also is it easy making friends after transferring?

Also how is the environmental engineering at Humboldt? I heard the ERE program is great there. Please give me feedback thank you :)

Hello!

If you are strongly considering transferring to HSU I advise you go to Assist.org to make sure every class you take at UC Merced is transferable to HSU. General ed classes should all be transferable, but definitely double check. This is my first semester in the ERE program and I am definitely impressed and do not plan on going anywhere else. I assume you know that any engineering program is rigorous, and it is definitely no different at HSU. If you aware of the rigorous aspect of engineering programs, and you are very interested in environmental issues such as the water crisis and energy problems, then this program is perfect for you!! email me at jl2357@humboldt.edu if you have any more general and/or specific questions:)

Best regards,
       Jairo Luque,

thank you so much!!!

The ERE program here at HSU is an excellent program there is another program called INRSEP and it is dedicated to helping engineering students out the most.

ERE program is great everyone is super friendly and helpful. The classes and students aren't competitive, but they have a really supportive environment. The labs are small so you get a lot of teacher/student interaction. I'm an ERE major and so far I love it.
