College Prowler Take
Coming out of high school, the school cafeteria leaves a certain image of mystery meat and coleslaw on a student’s mind. The ISU food service works to make meals as scrumptious, delicious, and nutritious as possible.
Chartwell’s is a catering service that also helps out with ISU meals and events.
The student union building is continually full of students taking advantage of on-campus eating opportunities. Students can enjoy socializing, eating, and doing last-
minute studying all at the same time. The food comes in a wide variety of warm stuff for the winter and good
cold sandwiches for summer meals on the run. For the most part, students like to eat at the SUB because of the convenient location. When students have the time, they are more likely to hit Goody’s across the street. Turner Hall is not very popular because mostly students living in residence halls eat there. A hungry student is definitely more likely to be seen eating fast food than eating on campus.

I hear the cafeteria food is all right. I mean it’s cafeteria food, so it can’t be that great! I actually had a smoothie from the SUB, and it was delectable. I strongly recommend peach! |

There are two locations directly on campus for food: Turner Hall and the student union building. Turner Hall is mainly for those who live in the residence halls, but it is open to the general public as well. There is a good variety of food there, and everything is all-you-can-eat! The SUB has a variety of food like soups, crepes, burgers, wraps, and even smoothies. It is always nice to go to the SUB on a cold day and get a hot chocolate before class, too! The staff is always very friendly, and I think that the food in the SUB is great and very affordable! |

Campus dining is rather limited....
Campus dining is rather limited. The dining halls do have plenty of options, and you can always be consoled by the knowledge that they always have burgers and fries at the grill section. |
