College Prowler Take
Overall, ISU is a pretty laid-back atmosphere. Parking illegally is definitely the most common illegal practice on campus, and students do get caught for it constantly. The campus is strict about the who and where of alcohol use on campus.
When it comes down to it, strictness at ISU may not seem so strict just because there are not a lot of problems with rule-breaking at ISU. There is usually one incident of theft a year, a false rape report, and a few football players getting DUIs. On average, there is not a lot of rebellion among students.

Just like most western places and people, if it doesn’t disturb the public by being too noisy or whatever, then it will most likely slide. But Idaho is very much a red state. |

All on-campus buildings are dry, and the police monitor this closely. Warnings are given to first-time violators for drinking, and then action is taken thereafter. There is very little tolerance given for illegal drugs. |

I guess the campus police are pretty strict. I haven’t had the opportunity to personally experience it, but they do give you a warning first, and then if you violate more than once they take action. |
