Traditions

  • March through the Arch - The Arch was part of Swanson Hall, which was built in 1903 and torn down in 1973. It is an annual tradition for freshmen to march through the Arch. Thousands of new students have participated in the March through the Arch that preserves part of Idaho State University’s history.

School Spirit

During the Homecoming football game, the Holt Arena is full of painted faces, pom-poms, and the Holt’s famous ice cream.
