College Prowler Take
Considering that Pocatello is not a huge metropolitan city, transportation is not too bad for students. Anywhere students need to go in town is mostly within walking or biking distance. The sidewalks are nice and provide a good surface for walkers, joggers, and bikers running errands or heading for a quick trip to the grocery store. And of course, there are always good friends and roommates that love to chaperone!
The ISU transportation system is also very beneficial. PRT buses will take students from campus all the way to the mall in Chubbuck and back. Students can also schedule to take the buses to Idaho Falls, Exit 113, Blackfoot,
Twin Falls, Burley, and American Falls. Buses operate only while ISU is in session, which includes fall, spring, and summer terms.

I don’t use public transportation because using a bicycle has been no problem at all. I have been able to get to everything that I need with a maximum of a 10 minute bike ride. Anything essential can be found close to campus. |

As far as buses, they are more convenient than any car, unless of course you are going a long distance, which in Pocatello is not an issue. Bikes are also an option. |

Public transportation is not very convenient. Buses are constantly around during the day on campus to take students to the various buildings on campus, but around town, buses are seldom seen. It is best to own a car in Pocatello. |
