Freshman dorms are pretty great, the rooms are carpeted and fully air conditioned. My only complaint is that they are a little too small to fit everything in, especially with the big study tables and beds provided. Also, a mini fridge would be nice. But overall, I'm not complaining because the social atmosphere is quite relaxed and open. Cost shouldn't be an issue for most since the majority of people I've met receive housing scholarships.

The new freshmen dorm SSV at IIT is great, but the price is not cheap. If you want to save your money, you might choice McCormick Student Village. By the way, sharing an apartment is more valuable than live on campus.

The best thing about living on campus is the close proximity to class. If you ever have to roll out of bed to get to class, you could very well get to class on time

The dorms are a great way to immerse yourself in college life, and take advantage of the campus. But the size of the rooms are quite small, and the food gets boring fast.

Very expensive, charging much more than what it's worth.
