College Prowler Take
To find drugs at ISU, you do not need to look hard. However, ISU is not known for hard-core drug usage. The main drugs that are used at ISU are marijuana, prescription drugs, and cocaine. Students tend to only use these drugs on the weekends or during partying-like situations. Many
students also do not consider alcohol a drug because it is so widely talked about and used. ISU does have its groups known for smoking pot, with houses to visit on the weekends if you’re looking for a fix. If students do not use drugs, there is rarely any pressure to use them. Students are very respectful of others when they do not want to indulge in the drug scene.
While it may not be hard to obtain drugs, they cannot be found on every street corner. Being that ISU is a popular state university, there are many type of activities that students get involved in.Unfortunately, drug use is one of them, though it is not a horrible problem. Strictness on drugs is also increasing. If a student is found under the influence, they will immediately be ticketed and can even be arrested. The University does not tolerate drugs on campus. Students who feel like drugs are taking hold of their lives may get help at Student Counseling Services. Certified counselors are there to speak with students and help them get on the track they are looking for.

The drug usage here is very heavy, and it is available wherever you look. A lot of students think no one is doing drugs, but really there is a ton of people. You have to realize that this is a public university and you get a lot of different students, so drugs are going to be in the mix somehow. |

You don’t really hear much about it, but like any other college, it is here. People keep pretty quiet about what drugs they are into. It is not really acceptable here to talk about being on drugs all the time. |

I believe it is available if you want it, but you don’t see too many people doing it all the time. There are probably students who do it a lot on the weekends, but I don’t think a lot during the week. Students are pretty responsible here. |

I’m sure half of all the students here do drugs. While some may just be smoking pot, I know a lot of people that are using cocaine. It is not very hard to get it here at school. |

I haven’t seen any so far, so I’m not sure how big of a problem it is. I don’t think people here would openly talk about it either. It’s not like you see students doing tons of drugs on the weekends. |
