Financial Aid

It is hard to stay on top of financial aid. Make sure you don't miss any paperwork or other things that you need to do. It is really important to stay on top of things. It is helpful to have your parents help you with it.

I Could Be a Little More Educated

It's hard for me to find scholarships here on campus. I don't know if it's just my poor research or the availability there is for scholarships here.

More Effort = More $$

There are always loans, but that sucks after graduation. Make sure you use the ScholarshipFinder on the school website and look for departmental scholarships if you've declared a major/minor. Don't forget to look at minor depts too! You can get scholarships for just about any group on campus, so make sure you find a few. Its pretty average and the same as any school really.

Advice on Financial Aid

The Office of Financial Aid at Illinois State University is in 231 Fell Hall. Here, financial aid counselors answer questions about FASFA and private loans; there are also a few options provided to finance a student's college education. The counselors are willing to meet with students whenever they would like, even halfway through the semester, which is very helpful. Remember to make an appointment early and fill out the FASFA form before the February deadline!
