College Prowler Take
Having such a great public transportation system running through ISU’s campus is a great benefit. Many students do not take advantage of it simply because they don’t want to figure out the bus system. The reason it is so hard to learn is because each bus is assigned a different location to go to, and students need to remember it by the assigned color. If a student confuses the colors and gets on the wrong bus, then they could be headed to the opposite side of town. even though the confusion can get on the nerves of many students, the bus system can take a student anywhere in town. This means a car is not a necessity on ISU’s campus due to the versatility of the public transportation system.
Blue, red, pink, green, and so on are how the buses are categorized. Making a student memorize what each color stands for can be quite a hassle. It usually takes students a little while to figure out the bus schedule, but once they do, they are happy to have learned it. The town of normal has created many opportunities for students to be able to explore the town they are living in without relying on having a car.

Public transportation is pretty good here. It could be better, but it could also be worse. You only really need to use it if you have to go somewhere far because everything here is pretty much within walking distance. |

Public transportation is not bad...
Public transportation is not bad here as long as you remember the stops and times. The only bad part is trying to figure out which bus goes where. The staff that works there is also very nice and will help you out if you get lost. |
