Interviews & Information Sessions

Schedule an individual appointment or learn about group sessions by calling an admissions representative at (800) 366-2478 or (309) 438-2181.

Campus Tours

There are two different ways to tour ISU’s campus: through an information session or an open house. The information session consists of a presentation from an admissions counselor, a student-led walking tour of campus, and typically a residence hall tour. These sessions are offered most weekdays throughout the year and on scheduled Saturdays from August through May. To make a reservation, visit: www.admissions.ilstu.edu/forms/campusvisit. An open house consists of a tour of the campus as well as a residence hall and a meeting with representatives from academic areas and student services.

Overnight Visits

After students confirm their decision to attend ISU, they are asked to participate in Preview, a summer orientation at ISU. Students can choose from a number of weekends that best fits their schedule. On a selected weekend, they will stay on campus and be introduced to college life and other future ISU students.
