There is an incredible amount of places to eat off campus. Everything from pizza to Chinese to Thai to sushi to burgers and fries. A number of these places are within walking distance of IWU. Downtown Bloomington is home to a nice mix of affordable, locally owned eateries and franchise restaurants. There are also numerous ethnic grocery stores nearby. There are two Mexican stores, an Indian grocery, and an organic foods store. This makes dining at home an experience as well.

Unfortunately for Wesleyan students, there are many restaurants on the other side of town that a lot of students never experience because they aren't aware of them. Most will never make it to some of the restaurants because they are just too out of the way, but there are so many choices nearby that it really doesn't matter. Most places in town know the location of IWU, so you rarely have to explain to the delivery driver which building of what campus you're on. People say that Bloomington residents dine out more per capita than anywhere else in the Midwest. The combination of a wide variety of restaurants, affordable meals, and easy access makes the same hold true for IWU students.
