The winter REALLY sucks! The school does a good job of cleaning off the sidewalks and keeping it ice free, but it's still cold and gross!!!!!!

We have a lot of student unions that include different backgrounds. My favorite is the club for LGBT students.

The nursing program is really intense and competitive, but its also really great! The exams are hard, but they give really great clinical experience. You make really close friends in the program!

I don't know a lot about the other majors, but my husband is a history major and my best friend is in new media. The history department is pretty easy to navigate and a close group, getting into classes is pretty easy. The new media department is small and new. It is hard to get into some of the classes because there are a lot of people competing for a limited number of spots.

The wifi at school is awesome! And the software provided by the school is great! I think everyone needs their own computer because the computer labs get crowded sometimes.

I don't think this is a thing..... But most people who go to this school live here so they wouldn't need to do any ride sharing to get home.

It would be great if there were more things open late! Studying all night and not having a good place to go to sucks sometimes!!

Housing is pretty easy to find and not too expensive. You probably need a roommate depending on your income, but that's not so bad because then you have someone to carpool with.

I'm attending Indiana University-South Bend; it's close to home so I can live with my parents for financial reasons. Though the school isn't an arts school, they still have a reasonable amount of art incorporated events and a curriculum that is both challenging and rewarding. I have learned many new tools to apply to my up and coming career as a graphic design artist.

I am not really sure actually. I am a working adult going to college

The food is actual pretty good. Variety is the obstacle to overcome.

I do not live on campus so this question does not really apply to me

Informatics is a fast and growing field within the computer science department. Workload is heavy but worth it. Internships and job opportunities are always posted and available.

The campus is right on the river. There is a bike trail right close as well. The dorms have lots of green open spaces. The new Education and Arts Building is very modern and beautiful.

IUSB has a good variety for its size and location. The college has managed to snag some good professors, which helps. The Grill is a popular hang out for study groups as well as a good place to grab some food.
College Sophomore 2013-09-30T04:07:55Z
There is a variety of places to eat if you have a car. If you are living on campus or walking/biking there are only a couple of close places. Otherwise, you will have to go a distance to get something besides fast food

My Organic Chemistry Professor is very knowledgeable and helpful. Most of my professors are willing to help out as much as possible. The professors I have had are all knowledgeable and helpful.

There was a power outage last semester due to construction in town. Snow in the winter can be a real danger, especially since
i have to commute nearly 45 minutes. Classes, however, rarely get canceled.

The South Bend Campus is small, but friendly. I have been a part time student for the past year, but still many professors know my name. There are many opportunities. The Staff are professional and knowledgeable. However, the campus still has a community college feel to it sometimes.

The program was really easy to get into. The difficulty was in deciding which program I wanted to be in.

I am very glad to be in the Criminal Justice Department. I look forward to the many different career opportunities that are available to this degree.

Awful, just awful! The parking lot looks like there should be plenty but never a space! For what students pay for parking, the lack of spots is very irritating. :(

I love the small class sizes and the personal feel of the lecture/ professors. The buildings are in good repair, with many computers available. The library is top notch and the educational resource lab is phenomenal for teachers, students and the community.

Criminal Justice – I am in the process of switching my major to criminal justice. The academic advisers are easy-going and are able to get you in for appointments to register for the classes you need to get your degree. I am only a freshman, but as far as I know, they are easy to accomplish.

There are no drug relate things going on in the campus grounds if anybody needs to smoke or something they have to go outside the campus area to do so.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
