A lot of the people in class are adults going back to school but not everyone. There are many young people fresh out of high school too. I have always liked IPFW and I normally have at least a few people I can talk with. I wouldn't know about living on campus, I am a commuter. But I do know that IPFW has the nicest dorms of any campus I have been to. Sadly I don't think that there is a ton of activities to do on campus but you can always join some clubs to meet people.
There is definitely still stuff to do, and IPFW is only getting better at creating a good campus life for people who are "traditional college students"
There are numerous restaurants around the area to dine with friends and family. Also, there are some nice hang-out places such as the mall, movie theaters, laser-tag, and bowling around the area, you just got to look around.
We do have a lot of older students on campus. I am out of high school and there is still plenty of things to do on campus, we have a lot of extraciricular activities.
Theres plenty to do and I see mostly young people, especially in housing. You will find many activities and events on campus and in town.
