I personally don't have a car on campus. Everywhere I need of want to go in the city I can walk to. If it's too cold or raining I can take a campus shuttle that comes buy every 10 miutes. There are city buses that stop buy and you can pick up passes at the Jagtag office fairly cheap. There are resturants within walking distance, so is the circle mall, and downtown, there is even a Dollar General close by. The only problem is when I want to go home my mom has to drive 3 1/2 hours to get me and then I tend to drive back. There are taxis and rent-a-car places, but I don't use them.

In my opinion the meal plans are on the expensive side expecially when you live in an oncampus apartment and have to pay extra for it. The food on campus is good. We have Mondo Subs and Caribou Coffee on the second floor of the campus center and on the main floor have a Papa Johns, Chick-fil-a, Simmer which has asian food, Spotz grille, and Wild Greens. The main problem is that certain places in the food court close at 3 pm on M-Th and other close at 7pm M-Th on Friday, if they're open they close at 3pm. For those that like more of a varity there are a bunch of places off campus to eat at and if you have money on your Jagtag and you use it to pay for your meal at a discount.

It depends on your major if you need to bring your own computer. If your a math major you don't really need it for class except for maybe the first to days depending on if they want you to do your homework online. I'm a CGT major and we are required to have our own labtop or macbook. The library does allow students to check out macbooks for a few hours and there are quite a few computer labs and printing stations around campus. Every student can print 650 pages for free with their Jagtag.

The school is strict when it comes to drugs, smoking, underage drinking, attendance polices, and withdrawing from a class. Creating a student organization is fairly easy to do your group just has to have a full-time faculty or staff member as an advisor, attend a Nuts & Bolts session by October 1 of that academic year, and have atleast 5 members. Overall I've never had a problem with campus strictness. So long as you follow the rules you'll be fine.

Health & Safety:
The safety and security on campus is alright. We have campus police cars that patrol around campus, and emergancy boxes that work, and if you don't feel safe you can push the button and ask for a ride or just push the buttons until you get to the building you need. The only real problem is at night. The all (4) reports sent to us students this semester have been about attacks and robberies at night. Over all I still feel safe walking alone be it morning, afternoon, or night.

Because the school is downtown, there are a lot of different places you can choose from.

I'm not sure if there are drugs on campus. I haven't seen anything of that nature on campus.

I can not wait to join a sorority. I think that builds character and a sisterhood. Greek life at IUPUI is amazing.

There are computers everywhere around campus. I just bring my own because I am more familiar with the computer I use everyday.

It is great to be in computer science. I think every major is treated equally at IUPUI.
College Sophomore 2013-12-12T17:15:12Z
Almost if not everything is offered at IUPUI. To me that is great because we have a variety.

The cost for a parking permit is ridiculous because sometimes I can't find a parking spot and the distance to get to class is outrageous.
College Sophomore 2013-12-12T17:13:33Z
I think every school should have more scholarships and financial aid.
College Sophomore 2013-12-12T17:13:11Z
I have attended some games. I think that sports in general are a great portion of the school, but they are overshadowed by academics, which is good.
College Sophomore 2013-12-12T17:12:19Z
Campus housing is amazing. I think that the students are very thankful for the housing that IUPUI has.
College Sophomore 2013-12-12T17:11:43Z
When it comes to transportation, I think people have a variety that is convenient to get to school and to other things.

I love Indianapolis. I have lived here all my life and I love it.

I love campus dining. Everything about it is awesome.
College Sophomore 2013-12-12T17:10:06Z
I think the off-campus housing for downtown Indiana is a bit pricey, especially for college students.

Health & Safety:
I think IUPUI has great health and safety guidelines. I think people just have to succumb to the policies that are set.

My school is located right in the midst of the action. We have the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers just minutes from campus. There is great scenery as well as different attractions all over the city.
College Freshman 2013-12-09T19:32:51Z
The variety has gone down over the semester.
