Overall, IUPUI has a lot to offer to a lot of different people. The diversity of students at IUPUI is an illustration of what the University has to offer. Everyone is catered to in some way, whether it is through ESL learning, studies abroad, 24-hour computer facilities, wireless access, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. service projects, resume assistance, and so much more. IUPUI may not be a traditional campus with frat parties and hookups, but students really seem to appreciate its function and purpose, which is to promote professionalism, diversity, and urban learning.
With praise comes the reality—students shouldn’t go to a college thinking that everything will always be great. As with any university, IUPUI has its major flaws. As far as the physical campus itself is concerned, athletic facilities are not yet to the standard that the students can accept, parking is way below the needs of the students, and campus food is not worth the paper plates that it is served on. Too harsh? Maybe, but through the quotes in this book the students have shown how much they truly value their school. The professors, overall, seem to be doing a nice job, and computer service is great at IUPUI. As long as you take the bad with the good, IUPUI will be, at least, a beneficial and educational experience for you.
