Some teachers are good, some are not so good. The workload can be challenging at times, but it is managable. The business school at Indiana has a very good reputation.

I typically use my meal points at the various Hoosier cafes and C-stores around campus. The prices are good, and I can save my cash for special occasions: dinners at places like Mother Bear's.

The food is alright. Aramark runs it, and we have three main dining halls. The main caf is Foster, the other is Folger, and there are two other food places in the Hub.

We are working on it. The library is getting remodeled, so it's starting to look real nice. It is really available to students too. We are getting a whole new sports complex in a year or so. The campus is really getting built up, so in a few years most of the facilities here will be really nice.

Avoid the non-party dorms, unless you go for that anti-social scene. Dorms will be dorms: awkward roomies, decently acceptable food, and crazy nights. Don't live in Reed, Teter, Wright, or Willkie.

Our business school is legendary....
Our business school is legendary. The workload is basically equal to highshcool - just be prepared, because now it's on you to actually motivate yourself to do your work. The teachers are a mix of those you love so much you want to party with them and those who you despise because they make your life miserable. Suffer through the ones that suck and learn. And next time look them up on RateMyProfessors.com.

The atmosphere is a mix. You have townie bars which everyone tends to avoid (except for a certain night once in a while), and then you have all the trendy places to crash and drink. Mix of fun low-key places for those college nights and restaurants for when you need to have a night that makes you feel like you're still a part of the sophisticated scene you're used to.

Getting to the off-campus housing makes living a year in the dorms so worth it. No RAs to write you up for pre-gaming in the dorms, which equals no community service and fines! Find people you love and spend the next four years living it up with them!

Some labs are more popular than others, but there are many of them. If you go to the popular labs during finals or before big exam weeks they are crowded, but if you know other computer labs that are located out of the library then you will have no problem finding a computer.

The weather is unpredictable, in the wintertime at least. The first couple months are hot and gorgeous, then fall comes and that is also enjoyable. Winter lasts around 3-4 months but isn't too bad. Some days are worse than others, but since winter break comes around, you miss the worst of it. When spring comes, IU explodes with color and activity.

Partying at IU is awesome. There is always an option at night if you want to party. The partying really starts on Wednesdays at Bluebird (a bar), while the weekends kick off Thursday night and last until Saturday night. The bars are always a good time. Also, partying at the apartment buildings is always a killer time, and house parties are also huge. Basically, no one place to party is better than the other, it is always a good time since most people at IU are welcoming.

IU is one of the more traditional Greek universities. The Greek houses are all old mansions and are absolutely beautiful. Greek rushing and pledging is also pretty traditional. It really depends which house you want to be in and what type of experience you want to have. The sororities and fraternities are very involved in date parties, huge campus events, and fundraisers.

Bloomington, or "B-town," is like a second home for all IU students. It is a welcoming and warm town with lots of shops, restaurants, and fun nightlife such as the sushi houses, comedy rooms, and bars. Downtown Bloomington is always clean, safe, and very relaxing to just walk through, with lots of art galleries and interesting stores.

The major gym on campus is huge and equipped for any activity you can think of. It has tons of different courts, exercise rooms, locker rooms and is always clean and comfortable. The Union is beautiful and is a very relaxing and warm place to be. There are multiple floors, as it is also part of the IU hotel, so it has cafeterias, a Starbucks with a huge study lounge, and many shops. The Wells Library is home to nearly all students on campus, and it is beautiful and completely up-to-date as far as technology is concerned. There is an underground cafeteria and offers a fully stocked Kinkos-type area, as well as designated quiet floors.

I enjoyed living in the dorms my freshman year, but I wouldn't want to do it again in other years. Living in a dorm would be my very last option for any other year besides freshman year. I lived in Teter, which was very nice, close to classes, and not the biggest "party" dorm, but still full of great people.

I rarely bring my own laptop to campus unless I'm heading to the library for a long night of cramming. As long as you give yourself enough time, waiting for a computer in a computer lab usually does not take that much of your time. The WiFi at IU is supposedly top-notch, but I do occasionally have trouble connecting my own laptop to the network. But once it does get connected, it works great.

I lived off-campus this year, and although I still miss the convience of living in the dorms after almost two semester of living away from them, I really enjoy living off campus. I walk about 4 minutes to a bus stop where a bus comes every 5 or 10 minutes to take me practically anywhere I need to go on campus. Finding an apartment or a house can be frustrating, but it can be fairly easy if you start early!

IU is considered the best college town in America for a reason. I can walk to shops, restaurants, theaters, and football tailgates from campus. Coming from a small town myself, I still feel like Bloomington has the small-town feel, despite it being home to more than 40,000 students in such a small area!

I don't know much about the gyms or other athletic facilities since I'm not much of an athlete myself, but I love the main library on campus as well as the several well-placed "mini" libraries around campus which are perfect for stopping in to print off homework or to check my e-mail. Most of the older facilities are either being remodeled or are in the processes of getting ready to be remodeled.
