Hello krankenheim,
Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. IBMC is happy to address all of the concerns that you have.
It is true that some of our instructors teach classes at more than one campus. However, when an instructor transitions to a different campus, he/she is not replaced by an inexperienced or unqualified instructor. All of our instructors, whether adjunct or full-time, must meet a variety of criteria in order to be able to teach. As an ACICS-accredited institution, our college and instructors are held to a high standard.
Also, we do have a policy in place for dropping classes. The purpose of the policy is to encourage students to discuss their options so that IBMC can assist the student in making the correct decision and help the student stay on track for graduation.
Lastly, as a career training college, IBMC does place a vast amount of importance on shaping our students into professional, employable graduates. We are committed to the education of our students by providing instruction on job-specific skills, as well as instruction on demeanor that is acceptable in the workplace. Employers value dependable employees that dress and act professionally. For this reason, IBMC incorporates a professionalism component into the final grade for all classes. Students are awarded points for displaying the behaviors of good attendance, professional attitude and appropriate dress, which are all traits that will enhance the advancement of their careers.
IBMC appreciates your feedback, krankenheim. Should you have any additional concerns, we would be happy to discuss them with you. You can contact me, Madison Crowley, directly at mcrowley@ibmc.edu. Also, IBMC's open-door policy allows students to address concerns directly with Campus Directors or any other campus staff. Thank you!
