The library at ICC is great. They have a good selection of books, magazines, and the local papers, including the Duluth paper. There are many computers, study tables, tutoring, quiet rooms and access to online databases for research. The staff in the library is very friendly and ready to help.

Icc is a very comfortable school, and the professors are very helpful to the students.

My school has a scholarship to the ymca that is very useful and helps keep people fit and stress free.

There is a combination of non tradional students and tradional students at ICC. Most of the non tradional students have jobs and families and makes school just a little harder.

I have made new friends in both the classroom and in the baseball and basketball programs. I was sharing a dorm with my high school classmates and as our lives grow and differ, they are moving on to different living arrangements and life outside of college. My family has made a comment about me "being lonely" when they are leaving for home after attending a game (they don't live far awary). I am happy to tell them that I am not lonely, and that there are people around that I have made friends with and I have lot to do to keep me busy. My family is very satisfied with my experience so far at ICC.

I don't have any problem getting the classes I need and want. I have most resources available with the dorm in the same building as most of my classes. I stuggle with chemistry. The instructor is helpful and is somewhat available for help outside of class. Alot of this is because of my involvement in athletic, practice and games, and my work study schedule. This teaches me to set priorities and how to arrange a tight schedule.

My major is engineering. The best feature is being in the dorm attached to the engineering department. It helps my group get together and work on projects. The workload is a lot, but fair. College is meant to have student work, learn, and be prepared for the work environment in the real world. Learning to work with others is a huge factor in a successful future.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I enjoy the small college atmosphere, not overwhelming like large college settings. It's easy to connect and make friends, easy to get together with classmates and work on projects. The financial aid process was not so bad with help from my mom. She helped me understand the importance of getting information in on time. I applied for a ICC scholarship but did not receive notice of acceptance or of being declined. The importance of watching deadline was a lesson learned because of the opportunity lost by a day and not being eligible for a large scholarship.

There are definitely more males than females, because of the popular engineering program. There's also very little racial diversity. The people tend to be sheltered when i comes to people of different backgrounds, races, and sexual orientations.

I've heard some people complaining about the network but I've never had problems myself. The printing system is very convenient also. There are only computers available to you at all times if you live in the engineering dorms.

There's a weight room and a library with computers but the library is closed on Saturdays which is very inconvenient if you don't have your own computer.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I was expecting fairly low tuition as it's a community college but it's not as low as I had hoped

The advisors and counselors are really helpful. I wanted to go on an exchange trip during my second semester and my advisor helped me redo my schedule to make this happen while still being able to graduate on time.

Itasca Community College is a great college to start at if you're not sure what you want to do, as they kind of hold your hand a little. They also have distinguished nursing, engineering, and forestry programs.

The professors are very friendly and helpful to the students and quite knowledgeable. However, the classes are too easy for the college level and I find it more of a review than learning. Registering is easy, and the workload is manageable.

Well it is nice that this college tries to hold your hand and let you experience college little-by-little, the classes I have taken at my High School were harder than the ones I am currently enrolled in.

I Am a New Student Therefor It Barely Counts. I am a new student so i dont know much of Academic experience my brother went to itasca. He had told me about the professors and how they work with the students, sometimes, other times, you are no your own and have to work very hard.

Its Been a Journey – I havent attended classes yet considering i am a brand new student, i have visited the college and im very interested about my teachers and their ways of teaching is very hands on.
College Sophomore 2012-06-18T21:57:35Z
The Students – Many of the students are more of a rambuxious group. They dont really consider their equal valued peers. And dont realize the future is in their hands and not their parents or teachers. The Campus resources are greatly used.
College Junior 2012-03-16T00:42:48Z
The professors generally know hat they're doing and want to see you succeed. They be available for questions almost anytime and really try to help.
