They have made the transition into school very easy as a working adult who has not been in school in many years. The classes they are offering online have made my schedule a lot easier to work around my work schedule!

At Itawamba Community College that atmosphere is very different from other colleges. The professors and faculty want to help. They are there day and night ready to help you achieve.

Mostly, my school consists of athletes. Majority of the school are female/male basketball and baseball players, and football players. To keep on the team, they usually get together and have study night in the Success Center. In lunch, most of them sit together. SO, I guess you can say our school is mostly sport related.

I, personally, haven't graduated from my college, but I do have a little insight on this topic. My first semester P.A.C.E teacher was a graduate from Itawamba Community College, and they called him to become a teacher/ coach. In the student services center, multiple counselors and administrators were alumni's, and got a job working for the schools.

Usually, I'm a "in- the- classroom" type of learner, but my online class was easier. I was on my own time to read, unless there was a deadline, I made my own notes, and I actually study (because I knew it was up to me.) The workload, to me, wasn't too much because I usually did it right away and not wait until the last minute. My instructor had us participate in chat rooms and discussion boards about each lesson, for grades.
Overall, I think the online classes are best for students who are willing and ready to do the work themselves. In traditional classes, the work isn't as challenging as online classes. Most times, the teachers give answers, tell you which notes to write, and sometimes "baby" students. Online classes may be harder, but at least one accepts the challenge.

This school offered a few more online classes than the other school I was attending. I could take all my online classes I needed through ICC and the teachers were very helpful with all our work we did online.

I took all online classes so I never went to the campus.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The financial aid process was very easy at the school. You had sheets you had to fill out, but if you ever had a question they were very helpful with it. The workers are friendly, helpful and understanding when it comes to tuition and the financial aid process.

I never went to the campus because I took all online classes.

I took online classes so I never went to the campus so I am not sure exactly what it was like on campus.

The class schedule is pretty flexible. You just have to remember to register early before all the classes fill up.

The different possible resources for students are a little above average. One of the main things is the LRC (Learning Resource Center), which is the library, which has a very nice selection, but it also contains alot of of computers that are always avaliable for use. There is also a fitness center, which I hear is fairly popular. There are two places to eat on campus, and both are really nice. And for those times when you have a free class, there are plenty of places to spend your free time studying or whatever.

The instructors are always so interactive. Even with as many students as they have, they never give off a distant vibe. The only problem I've ever really had, and see as being troublesome for others, would be registering for classes. All the numbers and sub-names (stuff like 1123, HR74, etc.) for classes can get easily confusing.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The education I am getting is well worth it. I have not had to pay a single penny out of pocket because of the ease of financial aid. Although I had to take out a small loan for other expenses, this college's financial aid department is well put together.

Being a non-traditional student, I have always felt included in the class and in the study break times in the break room. I liked it when sometimes I was confused with faculty.
College Senior 2012-11-26T16:33:55Z
The on-line classes I have taken are under teachers who are off campus. In my opinion some of the on-line classes are more difficult.

I like online classses. You can set your own pace. The professors are always willing to help! Peer to peer interaction is always expected. The regristration process is simple. The workload can be a little much at times but not completely unaccomplishable

It is a small school setting. The teachers are more than willing to help you with your work. The teachers are also understanding that we as college students have lives also. They offer some really great clubs to join. ICC is a great school!!

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I have been getting financial aid, which definitely helps, but I had to file an appeal because of my previous school time which resulted in two AA degrees, but does not transfer anything for me to obtain my bachelors in Business Administration. Real frustrating because it is like i had to start over again in classes.

The facilities on campus are good. They have a brand new gym on the Fulton Campus, but that is twenty minutes away from the Tupelo Campus. There is library access at each campus, lots of activities going on at each campus.

My school has access to anything you need, even if you need tutors, they are readily available to help you. I go to the proctor sites to take tests and they are very helpful there anytime. There is a building there for a local university to take classes instead of going to the campus which is over 50 miles away.

I am not currently in a program becuase ICC does not offer speech pathology, but my classes are difficult in my eyes because I have a full time job. ICC has helped me when asking to help me find the best classes for me to help me transfer, this way I do not waste any time.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I think Itawamba Community College with great because the Financial Aid staff is there all day to help with anything needed. I have been there numerous amounts of times and I am always satisfied comletely when I leave. Tuition is high but where is it not. I have to take out loans to go to school, but with the staff throughout the entire facility I would not take any of it back. I would say ICC has a great review from not only myself but from a lot of other students as well.
Recent Alumnus 2012-10-01T04:24:25Z
I would say the people who are going to school for the right reasons are making an A average. Itawamba has an extremely diverse ethnic population along with religious students.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
