I wish there were more options and a longer party night. Coming from New York City, every party gets shut down around 1 or 2 am and that is very odd for me. But there is always get togethers that make the night-life worth it.

It has been the best experience of my life. Never have I felt so comfortable expressing myself and confident enough to reach out to other with questions or simply to make friends. The faculty, above all, is what has solidified my love for Ithaca College because I can see their dedication are sincerity in what they teach. I truly feel that each faculty and administrative member want me and my classmates to succeed and are willing to give us plenty of opportunities to reach our goals.

Personally, I haven't had a lot of issues where I have had to really test the strictness of the school. In general, if you aren't bothering the people around you, generally you won't get in trouble for anything. Most of the time if people get in trouble it is because another student called with a complaint and then they get in trouble. So if you mind your manners and don't let things get out of control generally you are okay. When it comes to parking, I don't have a car on campus so I don't know much about that.

Ithaca's atmosphere tends to be geared towards college kids because it holds not only Ithaca College, but also Cornell University. The Ithaca Commons and College Town provides a great atmosphere for college kids when they are looking to get off campus. There are plenty of little shops and diners to explore. Cayuga lake, part of the five finger lakes, provides a great view and is only a bus ride away. Cayuga lake has wonderful parks around it great for picnics and other outdoor activities. Ithaca is also known for it's farmers markets every weekend and it's annual Apple and Chili Fest that take place in the commons.

I am so glad I came to Ithaca. It is the perfect fit for me.

We're not a crazy party school but there are a lot of stoners.

Being a Music Education major is probably the busiest thing you can do at Ithaca. The workload is hard to handle, but the experience and education you get is phenomenal.

I'm nothing but impressed with the academics at Ithaca.

Greek life is basically non-existent except for three professional music fraternities that are okay.

I got great financial aid from the school. It was not any more of a hassle than any other school I applied to.

We could use more computer labs and I think the library should be more Mac platform friendly. The wireless internet is hit-or-miss depending on which building you're in.

Athletics are not the biggest part of campus life, but our teams hold their own.

Ithaca is the perfect place to live for certain types of people. It's a very liberal, sustainable, environmentally friendly, hippie sort of town with beautiful natural attractions and not too much hustle and bustle.

I haven't tried to live off campus because it seemed too complicated.
College Junior 2013-11-24T19:34:22Z
I don't have a car so I don't deal with campus parking much.

I think our dining halls are good, but I'm frequently annoyed by their hours.

Ithaca weather changes all the time. Some people love it, some people hate it. It's nice to have the whole range of seasons.

Guys & Girls:
I don't think I'm qualified to review this since I've been dating one person the whole time.

I think that diversity at Ithaca is great. Acceptance is very high.

Campus housing is so-so. I'm happy with it and have nothing to complain about, but it's nothing special either.

There is so much variety around Ithaca. The city is chock-full of interesting and fantastic places to eat, and overall is vegetarian/vegan friendly with many organic options.

The weather in Ithaca is atrocious. It's beautiful in the summertime, however that weather only carries over for a matter of weeks during the school year. It is more or less like an East Coast Seattle, and it definitely can affect one's attitude during the year, especially winter.

I came to Ithaca College for the Park School, however after experiencing the film program, I decided it was not the major for me. I'm not a writing major at IC, however I don't think this school is worth going to if you are not enrolling in one of their more reputable schools. There is a lot of great faculty here though.
College Junior 2013-11-24T04:40:46Z
There is no greek life at Ithaca College so the question is not applicable.
College Junior 2013-11-24T04:39:05Z
Ithaca College has a great program for Communications, Theater, and Music. However, there is a fair amount of favoritism towards these schools and the college invests all its money into constantly renovating its most profitable schools while schools like the School of Humanities and Sciences is often forgotten.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
