The courses available at my campus are often extremely limited (all of the humanities classes can be summed up in Music Appreciation, Art Appreciation, and Theater Appreciation.) There are some better choices available online through other campuses, but because of a program I am in, I am unable to take my courses online. Not much cultural diversity in academic programming. Some available and required courses may only have one meeting time.

I have been in a couple classes that were a joke, took no effort whatsoever. Some of my classes move incredibly slow because the students in the class are lacking basic prerequisite knowledge. Some teachers only did lectures and multiple choice exams and gave no chance to apply your knowledge.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The school is among the cheapest in the area. I have never had a problem applying for or receiving financial aid in a timely manner.

Because this is a more rurally located school, there is little diversity. I haven't found anyone who was downright rude, but nobody has ever gone out of their way to speak to me; and when I've tried to talk to others, I get a little small talk, but no really encouraging interactions.

not sure haven't really used those resources but sure they'll be helpful

I think the professors are very informative and go out their way if you need help or have questions about assignments.

I never thought it would be this easy to start college at my age. I was apprehensive at first. I have had a great first semester and now I am enjoying my second semester very much.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The education I am receiving is well worth the money. I received a Pell Grant that pays for my books and tuition.

So far I have not started my program yet. I have just been taking my general education classes but I have enjoyed the classes so far. The workload has not been too bad. At times it can fell a bit overwhelming but nothing I could not overcome though. I am excited to start the program though and begin my carrer.

So far I have enjoyed and liked every professor I have had. The teachers make learning as fun as possible and try to get students involved as much as possible as well. The class schedules are always told at the beginning of class so you know what to expect. The workload can be a bit much sometimes when can cause stress on students especially if they are trying to juggle school, work and a family. The campus also offers study time for students to get help if they are struggling. Overall the academis experience is good.

There isn't an athletic center sadly but the library and campus activities are great. The faulity tries to keep the students involved in certain events as much as possible and has on campus activites throughout the day sometimes which are interesting to join in on.

There are plenty of available, working computers here. There are two computer lab rooms which are sometimes unlocked to get into and then there are computers in the library to use as well. The network is fairly good since I have so far not had any troubles. The wireless access is great! At first it was a little slow but it works just fine now. Printing has never been a problem but will be in the spring of 2013 since the college will now be charging to print.

One major quality I like about Ivy Tech Community College in Sellersburg, IN is that the teachers are willing to work with the students outside of class whenever need be. Also the class size isn't too large so the teachers also get to know each of their students by name. Over all the entire faulity here is very nice and helpful. The other students here also very nice as well. I would highly recommend this college to friends and family.

At the hybrid class it only consist of myself and 2 other students. One is a younger student and she works full time. The other student is a little younger than myself. He also works full time also. We all get along and help each other out when we have problems in our math course.

At my hybrid class which is at the Ivy Tech Learning Center we have access to computers and printers. The network reliability is 100% reliable. I have never had problems with it. They are a lot quicker them my home setup. My own laptop is quite old but it still works and I have no other means at this time to update it, so I baby it. I have printer that can be stubborn at times but it gets the job done.

As I said before my classes are online and hybrid. I do have trouble sometimes with the hybrid class even though it is only a block away and I have a 20 year old car with a lot of problems, I usually can get a ride.

I have an A in my hybrid math class and a strong B in my English 111 class. For not being in school for over 37 years I am quite proud of how I am doing. When I have problem in either course I email my instructors and I hear back from them within 1-2 days. The English is by far the hardest I have every done. My professor has answered all my questions when I have them pertaining to certain papers to submit. This is one hard professor too. I have noticed since the beginning of the semester that several students have dropped out. I know though I have to give it all I have to succeed.

I actually go to Ivy Tech Southern Indiana but there was no where to click and when I wrote it in it would not accept it. I am disabled and my academic adviser helped me register for my freshman classes over the phone. I take online classes and one hybrid class. Th e hybrid class is 1 block away. The financial adviser it terrific also. Everyone at Ivy Tech has been a great to me. I am 54 and this has been a dream of mine to go to college. My online professors and hybrid instructor are very helpful and understanding too. I could not ask for more for a College Campus Resources.

From What I Heard – I'm only taking classes here but many other students are there working on some sort of degree, whether it be nursing or medical transcription. I believe they have career fairs and such but I can't say much more than that.

Computer Lab – Ivy Tech give student 100 free print offs a year, which is amazing when you forgot to print of your resources for a paper, etc. There has never been a time when there wasn't a computer available to use.

Student Body – This is a great choice for people who are significantly advanced in age and are look for a simple degree for the majority of the student body is as well. If you are young you will find yourself outnumbered by older adults, which isn't a bad thing just a fact. The elders seem to always tell stories and run the classes, which gives me time to catch up on homework for other classes. This isn't a bad school but for ambitious students with big dreams only going to Ivy Tech for a year or so to save money- you'll be more than excited when you transfer to that larger University you wanted to be attending this entire time.
