Teachers and administrative here at Ivy Tech are amazing they really go the extra mile to help you get an appointment with an advisor or study for an exam the next day.

I believe everyone at Ivy Tech is highly encouraged and welcome with opened arms by the career center alumni network and job prospects here at school.

There are a ton of varying people at Ivy Tech community college. You run into anyone from the age of eighteen to sixty plus. Its a great way to get back on your feet and take a step toward your goal and I believe everyone realizes that there and appreciates and enjoys working hard at school everyday.

I like all of my professors so far, but I am a little frustrated with one of them who didn't give us our syllabus until a month into our class. I can easily speak to the rest and receive my homework assignments/ syllabus easily.
However, I feel that the First Year Seminar class is a little silly to have there. The class entails indentifying our learning/studying habits, how to be a better student, and how to access the Black Board. I would rather spend my money on classes that I require than simply learning how to study better when I already know all of those things. However, I feel that all of the teachers I have had so far know the criteria of the class and teach the classes very well.

They don't make it easy but you learn a lot. Even through the frustration!

Does a great job. Needs more student friendly services. Like extended math tutoring and less expensive food options

There are both good and bad things about taking an online course. I did learn how to manage my time because there was no professor to tell me to do an assignment. One bad thing is that it is sometimes difficult to get in contact with a teacher to discuss grades or problems.

There are several computers on campus. The library even offers study rooms for groups that need the chance to work together without being too loud. The only time that I can recall of the computer network not being worth a dang is when finals are going on. I feel like my messages and homework always reach the professors in ampule time.

I can't really think of much that sets this school apart from other schools. I do know that if offers a great tutoring center. The only thing is like all things good; is people don't know how to take advantage of the programs. I am just as guilty when it comes to taking advantage of the programs because I seem to always be caught up in the father role.

The facilities on campus are very good. The Vectren auditorium sits several students for presentations and meetings. I know just from personal experience that my kids even enjoyed being on the campus. I have had to bring them when they weren't feeling good, and was able to put the chairs together for them to watch cartoons on the tv in the commons.

There are several options to choose from when picking a class. I normally try to find instructors that I know are good and change my schedule around, so I can take their classes. I am very satisfied with the flexibility at my school. It allows me to pick the classes that I know are well worth the cost.

The college offers several different workshops that help students succeed. There are tutoring programs and job placement places that really help a student get on their feet. The only difference is that like most; not everyone takes advantage of the programs. I know that I haven't graduated yet, but the career center has helped me create a good resume. I have been taking advantage of the programs. I have also had some great recommendations that got my foot in at the hospital. I am just waiting on the second interview, so I can put my best foot forward.

They do have wireless internet connection; however, it is not always the best of connection. Having a person computer is always a plus because it allows you to go anywhere on the campus and use the internet. You can be free to sit in the hallways and do school work or sit in the class and take notes while listening to the professor.

My school normally consists of people determined to get their degree. There are a few people that fall off on the back burner. I am easy going and able to socialize with everyone. However, I try to focus on my studies and taking care of my children.

I am very proud of my professors. They go above and beyond to help the students succeed. You always have those people that just don't want to hear the truth and still give up. You can only push someone so hard. The school also offers a great tutoring program. I am not just saying that because I work there. I do wish that more people would take advantage of the program. The classes are just the right size for the professors to reach out to the students.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I believe that the professors really care about your education. I am definitely getting more than what I am paying for. I feel the teachers do their best to keep you from falling out of place. I do admit that some of the people in the financial aid department are a little slow, but they do get the job done. I feel very strongly about my financial aid being pushed towards the greater part of my degree.

I have been working on becoming a CMA. The classes are very hands-on. We interact several times between different students. It is very interesting how much one partner varies from the other. Clinicals is one of my favorite classes. They are all focused in on my major. I know the workload sometimes is very sufficient, but just have to get stronger with the changes. I know that the job that I am going for requires a lot of my time. Along with the great classes, I am also a tutor for the school. My schedule works out great with my children.

The tuition at Ivy Tech is very reasonable! I decided to start my major at Ivy Tech because it is reasonably priced.
