My school is all online
College Senior 2013-11-26T03:25:01Z
The classes are all online. I do not have to ever go to the school to earn my degree. The courses are 8 weeks in length.

I was not eligible for aid.

The housing for the Greek life is the same rooms as everyone else on campus

I've been spoiled with great weather in south Florida, but up here in Jax, its not too bad. The sun doesn't come out as much up here, but hey its still Florida.
College Freshman 2013-11-12T23:56:27Z
Literally nothing happens on campus. If you know people, you may be able to do experience some hangout at houses across the street.
College Freshman 2013-11-12T23:55:19Z
The student area has about 2 pool tables and a ping pong table. Its just alright, but not many people can go at a time.

One of the bright spots on campus. Wifi is located in a decent amount of area around campus, and there is a computer room in the library. But why do we have to pay 10 cents a copy when printing anything when most of the students are paying thousands of dollars in tuition?

Unless you're a JR, SR, or commuter student, have fun living uncomfortable for 2 years.

I've heard that this has been one of the worst years, but there is no football stadium at all. Supposedly there is one being built, but I do not see it happening anytime soon. Intramural sports are not too bad. They are a good way to interact with other people from what I've experienced.

Probably one of the worst cities and surrounding areas. Not safe to be out at night, not much to do. I do give JU credit for trying at least to better things, but there is only so much you can do
College Freshman 2013-11-12T23:43:18Z
One of the better things. Although extremely dangerous to be around the surrounding area at night, the hours and distance are fair.

Health & Safety:
I'm pretty sure that the health center in non-existent. At least my friends and I have never heard of it.
College Freshman 2013-11-12T23:40:52Z
Not bad, but the campus is surrounded by a not so great area.

People are very brief and do not seem to care for the students. This is the financial aid and cashier windows/offices specifically. Most of the employees just seem to not care for anything but the next paycheck they will be receiving. My experience with financial aid is one of the many reasons alone I will be transferring ASAP.

Their online program for BSN and MSN (nursing) is the best. I can work and do school on my time. The professors are available and responsive. The advisors actually call me every couple weeks to check in and see how I am doing. When I order my books (online) I have them at my house the next day. Love this program and sticking with them through my Nurse Practitioner degree.

It is about choices. If you want to use drugs and alcohol, you will find it. If you choose to not use, then you don't. It depends if you are a sheep and will follow whatever others are doing or if you have morals and beliefs of your own to stick to what you believe. If you are trying to get kicked out of school, then using is a great way to do it. They seem to find out one way or another.

The communication is terrible, but once you learn the ropes and figure out who to ask and what questions to ask, the program is great. I love the professors and the small class size.

As far as getting into the school, that part is difficult. However choosing a pre-med major is very simple and there is no specific application for the program. Remaining a science major and fulfilling all of the required tasks is fairly difficult, and it is a smaller university but I still feel prepared.

Guys & Girls:
I think that everyone on campus is unique in there own way. What makes us the same is that we are there for a common goal. We are there to better ourselves and accomplish our dreams.

They have the policies in place for a reason, and they are very understanding of each situation. JU cares about it's students and their well being.

As long as you have your own car, you are good. I have never lived in a big city where I did not own a car and took taxi everywhere. In Florida, we have our own cars no need for dependence on public transportation- too much country around.

It rains a lot in Florida no matter where you are, but the good thing is the rain only lasts 5 minutes at a time. On the days it's a full day of rain, just bring your boots and umbrellas. Otherwise, the weather is great- very hot but not so humid in Jacksonville. I do not like snow or cold weather, and Jacksonville has a perfect in-between range of weather.

There are plenty of spots to park on campus. There is a parking garage to help with any parking problems, but as a student there when it first opened it was a little pricey for parking in the garage.
College Junior 2013-08-31T20:49:14Z
It's better than UNF commuters can find a park spot
Sorry, there are no reviews.
