Some, but Not Prevalent

While there isn't a lot of diversity around campus, the campus as a whole is pretty accepting of other cultures. I haven't really noticed any discrimination or exclusion from fellow students whether it be in clubs or in the dorms. Our teachers have made comments, however, such as class is like "looking into a sea of blonde girls." There are definitely more girls than boys on campus and it shows, and it seems like the majority of them are white, blonde, middle class students.

Keep Your Laptop and Ethernet Cable Handy

Many of the dorms only have wireless access in the basements so ethernet cables are a must. Printing is never a hassle in Carrier so a personal printer is not much more than a waste of desk space. However, one cannot live without a laptop. Many have tried--and failed--to survive in the computer labs alone, but it is such a hassle and should only be used in times of need.
