All of the networks, to my surprise, are very fast. I haven't heard or seen one being down for maintenance. The teachers expect you to have your online work turned in on time (if you are in an online class), when you go to use the computer labs, there is never a problem.

My classes usually consist of Hispanic or African American, but I haven't met anyone who is hostile towards me as they were in my High School. Everyone is eager to learn, never interrupt the teacher, and always having fun! It seems that everyone knows everyone else here, and I may be the new girl, but I never get treated as such.

Even though I recently started here at James Sprunt Community College, they offered me a job on the first day here. It is easy to find the opportunity to make a little extra cash on the side to help pay for books and tuition. They really want you to succeed here!

The library is very modern and easy to use, computers are very fast. I am comfortable walking around campus since it is a very friendly atmosphere.

All of the teachers there are really there for me to succeed. I haven't been so happy and excited to go to school and learn! I have free tutoring and advice whenever I need it, in case I struggle.

I would give it an A if the printer wasn't always breaking.

We have a great computer lab, but out of 3000 students there is only 30 in my department.

It could be better, a lot of the students get away without turning anything in, when the rest of us get punished for it.

There are small classes and the professors learn your name.

The computer network is pretty good but it does have problems occasionally. But they usually fix it before the day is ended. I really do not need a personal computer but I prefer to study and do my work at home.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The tuition and financial aid is well worth the money. The education is worthwhile. I have a bad experience with the financial aid office. It took them atleast 4 hours to tell me that I could take out a loan to pay for the money I owe due to dropping classes.

Well even though you can not live on campus, it is still lively and comfortable. People are so friendly. We do not have any athletic teams

I like the small classes and I can drive back and forth to school each day. But I was given classes that wont transfer and some of the classes I need to transfer are not offered there. So I may have to attend another community college to during the summer to catch up.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
They really need to be honesty with students about there financial aid before class start not wait until register day to tell to let them know of the issues. Also supply a list of other option such as scholarship not let there only choice be a loan.

The school has helped me out great. I honestly have had no big problems. If i needed something or had trouble i talked to the instructors and let them know. I always keep up with my work which has helped me get a 3.7 as a grade point average.

I'm a Art major. My classes are much of what i expected. Working toward getting a degree in film, but im jus starting off with the basics at this community college. most of my classes are the beggining courses that i have to take before i begin my major courses.
College Junior 2012-11-04T23:46:10Z
The professors are great to me. THey try their best to do what is needed to get us closer to getting our degree. Class registration is okay as well and i have known them to squeeze students in at the last minute, which is good because most colleges dose not do registration as long at this school.

Unique Classes – I am an Associates in Arts degree major, and I am going to complete my course work at James Sprunt by Spring 2013. After completing course work taken there I will be transferring to East Carolina University. At East Carolina University I will be persuing my B.S.N degree, Bachelor Science Nursing degree. I chose this degree because in this perfession I will be able to make a difference in so many people's lives and that is the biggest thing to me. The skills and training that I learn in school has been learned and not memorized. My instructors make sure of that. There is a very big difference in memorizing information and learning information. Many times I have heard my instructors say to the class that they want to teach the best and they want their students to go anywhere in the world and be able to compete with students from all over. That is why I work so hard in school. I am a single mother of two and I am not going to let myself down, my children down, my instructors down, or my community down. I will one day be a useable asset to my community. If one takes small steps the bigger class work work load will suddenly become a breeze and you will be able to succeed in all aspects of life.

Nothing Transferred – I chose James sprunt Community College because the college is a small college and the instructors there seem to very much be interested in helping students succeed while at school and in life.

Appealing Phi Theta Kappa – James Sprunt Community College has a great junior college international honor society. In order for a student to be elgible for this fine achievement, one must have a GPA of 3.50 -3.99. This is a fine achievement for any student who can maintain such excellent GPA. I am proud to announce that I have been extended a warm welcoming each semester to be a part of such honor society.

Small but Subtle – James sprunt is a really small college, but I am doing very well at this school. So I'm happy I'm doing excellent in my classes and have attended meeting for the club I am in and even went on a field trip which was exciting and refreshing.
