It is a hard program, but very rewarding. To test to be accepted into the program and be selected out of everyone who applies is rewarding. With there only being 14 people in the program, we all get close and help each other and want all of us to succeed together. The work load is tough but again, very rewarding. The facility is usually open when needed. The sonography program does require clinical time, which means traveling. I travel 3 hours to my site, stay all night, and drive 3 hours home. This is pretty expensive. I really enjoy learning everything though.

There are a lot of people. Most people are accepting of people that are different than themselves.

There are work out facilities, library is nice, always some sort of an activity going on, and more. There is usually a lot of opportunities. The library is also a nice place to study and get work done, with its available resources of its own.

We have switched to a new program, so there are a lot of things to get used to. The discussion boards are good places to ask each other questions, along with our instructors. For the most part it is easy to maneuver, but there are times things get hidden.

In my program, our classroom is available for use to work on homework, study, meet with other students, or have our instructor help us during her office hours. Very helpful knowing its available.

Enrolling and registering for classes was very simple and I found it easy to get into the classes that I wanted. We had smaller classes so the atmosphere was warmer and there was more interaction between teachers and students. There were many ways I could access help or tutoring, which was beneficial. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

My school is a community college so there are people of varying ages attending. Some have families and are struggling to keep their head above water. Some are even having to work full time outside of school. The school is very diverse and I have met many different kinds of people. When I'm surrounded by people with different backgrounds and views, it tends to help me be more open-minded.

Once my generals were out of the way it was easy to focus on what I was concentrating on and my advisor was very helpful in enrolling me in classes that were pertinent and pretty much exactly what I needed. It seemed as though a couple of my professors didn't take their work as seriously as others but all in all it was a good experience.

The college itself has been efficient at helping me get my associates degree and move on to the next level, but because they are just a community college there are not many job opportunities available to me at this time.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The Financial Aid office is very helpful. If someone does not know the answer they find someone who does.

The school network is great because the library have many resource databases to search for almost any topic stories and books ect. With my lap top I can print anything without connection to their printer; I never heard of a wireless printer connection, but its pretty great. The internet connection is pretty accurate on speed, updates and new microsoft softwares.

They have a new program that makes online learning easier to use.
College Sophomore 2013-07-26T18:23:18Z
The internet is really good and normally works. It is hard to print and expensive at our school. The computer labs are not normally helpful.

There are not too much post-grad services that I know of.

The campus is pretty good. We can't use they gym because they need specific shoes and insurance reasons. It has a wonderful library, but few students take advantage of it. There are many things for students to do and to eat on campus.

Our student body is very active. They do many community service activities. Last year they gave Christmas presents to 300 children in our community with Angel Tree. They could always do more to better their program. They sponsor many school activities such as Loganpalooza and Spring Fest. They encourage students to come to school and give them fun activities to do while they are there.

The staff and faculty in the Physical Science Department at John A. Logan are absolutely wonderful. The class sizes are small and allow plenty of one-on-one learning. The workload is heavy, but it is as to be expected. The students typically work together even after class hours to ensure a better understanding and accuracy.
Recent Alumnus 2013-07-03T22:49:31Z
John A. Logan's academic flexibility is wonderful, however, at times the class sizes are so small that certain courses may be cancelled for that particular semester. Also, not all classes are offered every semester so having a specific plan for your two years there are quite important.

John A. Logan is a great place for the non-traditional student and working-class families. There is a vast majority of students who have not yet decided on a career path. The class sizes are small and typically have teachers very involved with each student and their progress. The diversity in age and ethnicity are the largest characteristics in John A. Logan's student body. Most students are friendly, goal-oriented, and focused; depending on your program of study, this aspect varies.

Faculty are great; open-door policy leaves something to be desired if you are looking for a competative class environment.
College Senior 2013-07-03T16:46:51Z
The faculty are excellent; the open-door policy leaves something to be desired for the learning environment. The public transportation is not the best, and it would be nearly impossible/dangerous to walk to the campus from virtually anywhere. This is a great school if you are looking for a vocational degree or certificate; expect easy A's in any 100 level class.
College Sophomore 2013-06-11T13:04:44Z
I feel as though all the classes I have taken are very flexible and professors are willing to work with you.
