The regulations here are put in place to keep us safe and are very easy to follow.

I like it but I'm sure there are people who wouldn't

While some issues are more strict than others (drugs, alcohol, male/female interactions), the majority of the time the administration treats you like the adults you are, not like kids at summer camp. For instance, while there is no curfew for being in the dorms at night, there are strictly enforced rules on the times a male may be in a female's room, and vice-vera. Also, even if one of the more strictly-enforced rules is broken, there will likely just be a fine the first offense (depending on the severity of violation), and further infractions are followed by a letter, then a meeting with the Dean.

They have a couple rules, like no drinking or smoking, but besides that It's not very strict at all.

The rules on "no drinking" or "no alcohol" are not restrictive for most students who choose to go there. Academic and Social life is very positively influenced by these rules, and there are a lot of activities designed to get students together and meet new friends. It all depends on your perspective: Are you there to grown in faith, or become a party animal? This will determine whether you feel restricted or empowered in this environment.
