Overall, students at John Carroll believe that the campus is very aesthetically pleasing. The architecture is beautiful, and it is a great part of the campus. Also, although the University has some great buildings (such as the Dolan Science Center), some residence halls, as well as the student center, should be renovated. The residence halls are being updated every year, but the progression is rather slow, and the changes aren't very drastic. And while the student center is great, it isn't the center of all campus activities as it could and should be.
Despite some need for renovations, overall the facilities on campus are well maintained and kept clean and up-to-date. The latest renovation was the construction of the Dolan Science Center. Soon, the Bohannon Center will be knocked down, and plans for a parking garage are in the works. The library has had some recent renovations, but it could definitely be updated more—although it is a great, spacious space in which to study. Finally, while John Carroll is a small school, you can almost always find something to do on campus. There is always something going on, and the best part is that everything is less than a 10-minute walk across campus.
