University Heights and the surrounding Cleveland area have a lot of great restaurants and variety. The food available is delicious, and anywhere you go you will be able to find a good meal for an affordable price. The one complaint that many students have is that there are not many late-night options and little to no restaurants open 24 hours.

Within walking distance from campus, there is Pizzazz (a pizza place), Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, Dave's Cosmic Subs, and Brew N Bistro. Also, not too far away, there is a Cold Stone Creamery, Applebee's, Arby's, and Burger King. Other than these places, most restaurants require students to take the shuttle or a car. In the area called Coventry and the shopping area Legacy Village, there are wonderful restaurants. Some of these places include The Cheesecake Factory, Melting Pot, Tropical Smoothie Café, Stir Crazy, Chipotle, and the Claddagh Irish Pub. Although having a meal plan on campus is nice and very convenient, once in a while it is great to get off campus, see that real people beyond college students exist, and have some good food with your friends—just don't make a habit out of it.
