Located in the Snowbelt right off of Lake Erie, Cleveland is known for its harsh and snowy winters. Although the city has its fair share of snow and blistering, cold days, the weather is so bipolar that Cleveland still has many beautiful days with temperatures in the 60s and 70s. Sometimes, there are years where the snow arrives in the beginning of November unexpectedly, and then the rest of the month will feature temperatures rising to about 60 degrees.
Just remember: when you come to John Carroll, it's never too early to bring your winter coat, snow pants, and gloves, but also don't send your mom home with all of your shorts just yet because you never know what the weather will be like. Snow boots, a large winter coat, hats, and gloves are musts, otherwise you will freeze; plus, you want to be prepared for a surprise snowball fight or lunch tray sledding. Also, don't forget your bathing suit because you never know when it will be warm enough to pull out the squirt guns and Slip 'n Slide.
