I enjoy online courses, after I got the hang of them. They are very helpful for me since I am working full-time, and I'm unable to take all the classes I need in class. All of the classes I have taken online have had great teachers who are supportive and helpful to you when you need it.

I personally have had very little trouble with the school's network. The only problem I've had before is that once a semester it would be down. The support is good, and if you have any problems you call and they will fix it.

Classes Are Ok – I'm a nursing student, my classes are ok depending on who you choose.

Pick the Right Professors – Do your research, some professors aren't all that great

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Don't Procrastinate – The education I'm getting is well worth the money I'm paying. I got a little bit of financial aid, which helps, but I'm fine with the expense because I know my degree will make a difference in my career. I learned the hard way that it's very important to get all the right financial aid forms in on time-so don't make that same mistake! The only thing I wish the school would do differently is make its fees better known.

The only opportunities offered at my school for my major is a teaching class that forces you to do 40 hours of community service in a school as part of the grae. Other than that, there's not much to choose from. The curriculum is pretty decend and the work load depends on the professor
College Senior 2013-08-24T00:21:44Z
The teachers at the school seem to only be there stricly for the money. Not all teachers are like this but right many aren't creative when it comes to mixing the students and the curriculum for learning.

I chose this grade because my class schedules are excellent an so are my teachers but a few of the faculty members are quick tempered an an sometimes show they don't have a whole lot of patience. Other than that my teachers make class as enjoyable as possible and i can always expect something different to happen an because of that I look forward to each class.

I love how easy it is to find classes and other things needed, the computer lab, etc
College Junior 2013-08-05T22:55:49Z
I love the schools flexibility. Although I work full time I can still find classes at night that are great you can find any class at night just like in the day.

John Tyler has a little bit of everything libraries, athletic centers, campus activities which I must say they are fun to go to and participate.

I always thought that college was not for me. Some people had advised me that college was a waste a time and that they were another type of setup for the government to collect money. People assured me that graduates with masters and bachelors could not find jobs and that they would end up working next to a high school student with a huge bill of student loans. College/University movies would not help the image of going to college either, you would see bully students, unprofessional staff and teacher that would just not care about the students. One day while driving I decided to go for a walk and decided to see the campus and see for myself what it was really like, to my surprise John Tyler Community College was the complete oposite of what I had imagined it to be. I enrolled as soon as I could, wonderful staff were there to help me every step of the way. So far I have had a great experience I plan on graduating soon and hopefully get accepted to a four-year university.

I would say each time you need help they are always there to help.
College Junior 2013-08-05T22:19:42Z
Computers are always available. Network is always running pretty smoothly, the only problems that I would have would be the schools webpage that keeps going "down" or is unavailable. This is difficult to deal with especially if you are working on a group assignment on Blackboard. Other than that everything is perfect!

I honestly think there is only a small library at the chester campus. It is a very small campus.

Mostly, my school consists of adult students who have come back to college to find a new career. Their is a lot of interaction in classes between those students and traditional first time students.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The process was easy, but the understanding of the award was a bit confusing

John Tyler offers a great variety of programs depending on what one's focus and needs are at this point in their lives. For those looking to solidify existing careers there are career certificates. Those who are starting into their educational career, it allows a great foundation to move on after completing their Associate's Degree. Even those who are looking for a different direction in their lives, it allows an inexpensive opportunity for career change.

JTCC though just a community college offers students a great environment to work in the student centers, libraries and computer labs. In between classes, I have utilized all the resources and been able to relax when necessary.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
