- Alumni Association members receive discounts on books, classes, concerts, ticket prices at the theatre, and automobile and homeowner’s insurance. They also get a $240 annual membership to the Recreation Center, travel program, and credit union.
- HopkinsNET is a Web service that allows current students and alumni to search alumni by name, school, geographic region, major, profession, or company name. Thousands of alumni are connecte, and can help students learn about possible careers.
- The Alumni Association organizes a “Host Family Program,” in which students can choose to be matched to a family that will be their family away from home. The host family may take the student to dinner, cultural events, or around Baltimore.
- The Alumni Association sponsors “student send-offs” in over 25 cities, where students can meet students and alumni from their region and learn about life at Hopkins.
Major Events
- Each of the different schools offers its own Homecoming. The Homecoming for Arts and Science, and Engineering students is held in the spring in conjunction with a lacrosse game. There is a tent party held on one of the quads on Saturday night.
- There are 38 regional chapters in the United States and 16 chapters in Europe and Asia. These regional chapters plan between 10 and 20 events per year, from breakfast socials to academic lectures to ballgames to wine tasting.

- JHUpdate is a monthly e-newsletter that is sent to Hopkins alumni to keep them informed about alumni and university news.
- Johns Hopkins Magazine, published five times annually, engages a readership of 130,000 readers and keeps them up- to-date on JHU activities, world events, and alumni updates
