It depends on the situation

Yes there are a lot of resources through JWU but coordinators are incompetent, at best.

Printinting is free which is great, but more often than not half of the printers are broken.

Lazy in class and loud outside of class.

The school makes sure there are computers available to each student as well as making sure that they are provided with resources as well

Even though Johnson and Wales in Charlotte is a small campus the school makes everything available from the student center to a Starbucks across the school for breaks.

The school has this system called Ulearn where professor put up any assignment that was dealt in the class which gives any student an helping hand that had an emergency.

I'm an older student and extremely grateful to be back in school. I feel some of the students here take their education for granted and make it difficult for the chefs and other instructors. Which in turn, has a negative effect on my quality of education.

We have several computer labs, a great library, good resources for finding internships and jobs, tutoring sessions, a gymnasium and student center where free fitness classes are offered daily.

Because of the unique majors offered through the school (baking & pastry, culinary arts, fashion merchandising, hotel & lodging management) there are a wide variety of activities always occurring on campus.

I have loved almost every class and professor I have had at Johnson & Wales University so far. The professors are very knowledgeable and eager to share not only their knowledge, but also their practical experience within the industry in oder to help their students.

I'm a International Hotel & Tourism Management major and every class I take directly relates to the career I hope to have one day.

I haven't really explored this area of the Career Services department at JWU Charlotte.

There are plenty of choices to choose from when it comes to your classes, but some classes you can only get during a certain term, causing some scheduling problems if you don't plan ahead.

Everything is great beside the hours of the library. A lot of the students work in the hospitality field and having later hours would help us out.

The one thing I love is that printing from a computer is FREE and u can print from any printer on campus regardless on what computer you used. There are a lot if computers available as long as there are no classes in the few rooms that are used as classrooms. The one downfall is that sometime the system can go down and you can't print anything. This just makes you think ahead and prepare a little better so that your no always working last minute on things. I do wish that the library/computer lab would stay open later.

I think there is an array of student, from age to race to religion.

I should have started my college experience here. I love the school and how hands on the programs are. In my major, Sports and Entertainment Event Mangement, we get to participate in events going on in the city and learn a lot that cant be taught in the classroom from doing so. Other than parking, which I know is a bigger city issue, I love everything about JWU!

Culinary labs can be taken in the morning or at night, which is helpful for students with full time jobs in the industry. Academic classes are offered at a variety of times throughout the day, which gives students the option of sleeping in late or finishing classes early and having the rest of the day to spend how they want

I love that we have free black & white printing at all campus printers, but most of them are in the Academic Building and Library, which have limited hours, especially if you need to print something later at night. This problem can be easily solved if printers were added to the residence halls.

I have never really had a "terrible" classroom experience at JWU. All of my teachers have been extremely passionate about their respective subjects. I have had some teachers that are more enthusiastic than others, but everyone that works at Johnson & Wales goes above and beyond to connect with their students and help them succeed in any way they can.

My school has different progams for students to be in engaged and networks themselves. For example, I participating joining a club organization called National Society Minority of Hospitality. I volunteer for the Charlotte Bobcats and other events at the Time Warner Area. Also once a year they go to a convention that you to prove yourself to find internship.

The computer network in Johnson & Wales in Charlotte doesn't have any issue. The computer labs have wireless access and sometime the printer on campus could be down for at least 2 days but they fix it back quick. Mostly the campus have free Wi-Fi everywhere around the university.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
