It works as you the student would work with it from day to day. The staff is always willing to work with the student as long as the communication is there on both sides. Encouragement is always there for the students financial assistances is there for all as long as the students are willing to full fill there side of the deal.

I was glad not to go to a traditional campus, traffic is crazy. The registration process is overwhelming to say the least. I love online courses, but you cannot go at your own pace, as they claim; there is a structure, and it is time sensitive, and that is understandable, if it were not so, then I would be going to school forever. I like peer to peer interactions. I have met some very talented and intelligent people, that I can now call friends. I would not have met these people on a traditional campus. I like the peace and quite in my home, no interruptions. The work load was tough, at times, again, procrastination.

I found it very challenging at times to create a study atmosphere. I thought that the demand for the work was too much for me, at times. I thought I should have had more leniency with the due dates, and I imagine that if I were not a big procrastinator, I would not have thought like that at all.

I take online classes, but I had access to everything that the campus students had, tutoring, writing help, plagiarism tool to avoid plagiarism, smart think, turn it in, math labs, several libraries, vidoes, books, and many other resources.

My academic experience has been challenging, but in those challenges I have prevailed. My classes are on line, but I have had a good relationship with all of my professors. Most of them I was able to call at home, and they would call me as well. They were concerned about me as an individual. The curriculum is equal to my degree. When I started school, I was not trying to go to school, but my enrolling counselor was wonderful, now I will be graduating in November with a masters in Business. The work load was hectic, most of the time, and rightly so. I know my stuff because of it.

I have only had a problem with the network one time and it was during a pre- maintenance deadline. I missed it and was late turning in my work.. I have been in JIU almost two years and that is the only instance I had, and that was my fault. I take my classes on line.

I am a Business Communication major with a specialization in Entrepreneurship. I plan to have my own business. My curriculum has taught me how to start and maintain a business; how to build communication infrastructure in companies, to organize, collaborate, team building, research, write grant proposals and do business plans, all of the things I used to wish that someone could teach me.

Sometimes I don't clearly understand some assignments, I wish I was in class instead of online.

I have had no issues at all with the class schedules, curriculum or professors. The class schedules fit into my life well.

I have never had an issue getting into a class I needed. The professors have all been very helpful and give good feedback on weekly assignments. The online processing is efficient and response time is generally excellent.

I'm going for my MEd. I find the classes interesting, definately expanding my understanding of the environment. I have not had any electives that did not seem to be focused within my major. The workload is intensive, but not overwhealming.

Not sure on what makes it unique other then how well the staff and instructors work with the students.

It would be an A+ but again all businesses have room for improvement. For one of the areas I think JIU could improve is getting a hold of someone within an hour of calling a student counselor.

So far my experience has been very good. I would rate it A+ but I believe any industry has room for improvement.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
