There are many Psychology courses available that can pique every student's interests. The courses range in terms of challenge and there are a variety of courses at each level. My one complaint is that experimental methods is a required class and is extremely tough for junior year spring.

There are some really star quality professors at Kalamazoo College. But there are definitely a few classes that were disappointing. There is a wide array of classes taught at K that you wouldn't find at a big university. They emphasize breadth, meaning that you have the ability to take classes in a variety of subjects and still find time to complete a major and a minor with ease.

I originally came to Kalamazoo for the psychology program, and even though I have yet to take a psychology course, I find it wonderful. The classes are well structured, yet not identical to each other. The classes themselves are of a wide variety and available to almost all students at any time. The students here are serious about their school work which works as a good motivation to do well. SInce it is a small school, not every class is available each quarter which is a slight disadvantage, but it does work out okay.

The professors are always willing to help you and get to know you personally. We only take around 3 classes in 10 weeks but the workload is pretty rigor here. Also, although K is a liberal arts college, more than half of the student body started off as a pre-med kid. There are also a lot of courses available although spaces fill up quickly.

The classes are small and the faculty go out of their way to be available for students. Their main priority is the learning experience. I have taken classes in over fourteen departments, and across the board, the faculty are excellent. They also care about what is happening in their students' lives outside of the classroom and are able to write comprehensive recommendations that include academic performance and campus extracurriculars.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
