Diversity on campus deserves an A. We all come from different countries and or states. We all accept each other for who we are, not who we are not. We have open arms and receive whatever anyone brings to the group. Regardless of political, religion, and economic background we see each other for who we are. The majority of the school is white and probably the minority is Hispanic which is the soccer team for men and women

The campus is small and has a family feel to it. It is easy traveling from class to class. The history program is great and I love taking field trips to historic sites around Kansas.

not enough aid for the rising cost of tuition. There needs to be more scholarship choices and opportunities.

Parking can be difficult because there are such few spots and the lot itself is small. It is great that parking passes are free which saves me money

Everyone at Kansas Wesleyan is very accepting and welcoming of all ethnic and racial people. There is such a wide variety of students who come to KWU from all over the country and world and the staff and students are all intrigued and welcoming to getting to know the person and there background in a positive structure

the drug usage at Kansas Wesleyan is very small. Of course you have your ongoing pot smokers and parties with alcohol but other than that it is very calm and laid back here. only some people drink and those who do are very responsible and comfortable with what they are doing, people don't peer pressure others and the alcohol visibility is kept off campus in places like homes where of age people live.

For the most part the staff and people are friendly.

Guys & Girls:
Kansas Wesleyan is a small school so there aren't too many varieties of people. The students that do attend are, for the most part, well rounded small town people who share interests in sports and academics.

The campus staff is very friendly and are all working towards making sure us students are doing our best. The Professors are always there if we need help and do whatever it takes to help us as long as we are willing to put in the amount of effort needed. The dining optinions on campus are terrible I pay for a meal plan i dont even eat becuase it is not healthy and we have the same thing every day.

When I came to KWU it was a very easy process. My Depatment head talked to me directly and made sure that I did not have any questions for her before I left. When I left she informed me that if I needed anything not to hesitate to email her or call her and she would help me. The most important criteria for the nursing major is that you are able to be flexible and be in class every day. Missing one day can change everything.

Guys & Girls:
Most of the Girls here are on some sort of sports scholarship. so there are a lot of athletic girls all over the campus. And they are typically pretty outgoing and are easy to talk to.

There are no sororities or fraternities here at Kansas Wesleyan

I received quite a bit of financial aid and I hardly had to do anything for it once I sent my final transcript in to the school. The only conflict I had with finances was that I had received a scholarship from an outside source that was only to be applied to second semester but was applied to both. So I only paid what I was told and then I was suddenly ineligible to practice because I had an incomplete financial file when all that had happened was they put the scholarship on both semesters.

Anything you need on campus is easily withing walking distance and anything out in the town is easy to access. The campus is small enough and everyone is familiar with each other so if you needed to get somewhere you could just car pool there. And anything you need that can't be found in Salina, you can get in Wichita which is only an hour and fifteen south on I-35

I am very satisfied with the education I'm receiving thus far. The teachers are very helpful and very willing to help you with any questions and answer emails outside of their "office hours". I'm only unhappy with one of my courses right now and that is because of the class I'm in, not the teacher or curriculum.
College Sophomore 2012-10-02T21:05:36Z
I'm very happy with the school! The teachers are all great and my advisor is SO helpful! He has been there to help me with every step of the process and from what I've heard with other students, they have all the same experience. As for admissions and financial aid offices, they are great! The lady that helped me through the whole admissions process knew me by name when I went on my visit, so that was very reassuring! I am currently enrolled in 15 credit hours and it's not bad at all. I play softball and I still have the desire to add another course and take 18 hours next semester despite season starting!

Bring Your Own Car If You Want to Get Somewhere – Very little public transportation. Only a bus that goes certain places. You really need your own car to get where you want to go.

Needs Improvement – Parking Could be better. There is always trouble finding a spot in the mid afternoon to late evening hours.

The atheletic facilities are pretty good depending on the sport. I havent noticed a strong fan support, and the spirit squad constantly has different people on it.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
