before entering the school the rep discussed my schedule and was some what helpfu. I did not want the evening classes but at the time i did not have a job and was new to the area so i just took the evening classes. But not sure how that would affect other newer students.

the facilities on the campus arent too bad but the avanti market sells out of date foods which i think should be checked and maintained at all times. the computer lab/library area is decent not yet use it myself but have checked it out. seems like theres always people in there using it so not complaints that ive heard.

I havent yet fully graduated with my program but the career services state they will help me find a job no matter what. seems nice but on the other hand the career services people are at times very rude and dont hold out on the appointments made with their students. I think most of the time they just milking the cow. Every time i go into the office they are all gone or out or just to "busy" to help you and want to just make a appointment with you.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The amount paid for the 9 months of school is pretty much on the high end. I only recieved 2 sets of scrubs which you need more then just 2 due to fading. I just think that they can either give more or lessen the tuition. the people in the FA offices are very helpful but i think its just beacuse they're just trying to get the money no matter what.

I sometimes feel like the time being at the college could be used differently such as giving a longer break then giving small breaks. There are people with children and have no time to eat during the hours they attend school, so the small breaks dont allow enough time to enjoy anything. The computer labsare decent but there are days they are really slow. Some of the instructors aren't very professional.

The computer lab is very spacious and the internet is quick with wifi connections and everything is there thats needed including fax machines and i like that they have a career service program.

Some unique things about Kaplan is that everything is hands on as well as you get to graduate with your certificate or degree in less then 2 years and a year depending on your major. I like that the test is very different and im blessed that i was able to score high in the field that i wanted to work in and now im currently enrolled in the school that i wanted to always go to and there actually helping me fulfill my dreams! Kaplan is all around a great school just there really pricey.

Kaplan is a excellent school besides some of the teachers arent as friendly as i thought they would have been. I like the student lounge and how they give these little keychain cards that you can put money on to buy different items. Which is really convenient. I like the way everything is hands on. The campus is friendly as well as the staff. The school is very helpful and i like there goal is for everybody to succeed.

Typical Students – Student who attend kaplan college usually have had a hard time getting into school after they have graduated from high school. Some students who come here also can't aford to go to a reagual 4 year college because of all the expensives and how difficult it is to get a loan from that school. Also many students here want a better fast career for themseleves so they can support thier familes.

I was unsure about the whole online course because I thought I was going to be lost. It was actually easy because of the way it was explained to us. I have got used to it and it has helped to save alot of time.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Kaplan College- Mcallen Texas – The Kaplan College personnel did a great job in assisting me with the Financial Aid program. They explained everything to me and gave me a month to decide if this is what I really wanted. The Financial Aid process didnt take that long to apply for. They really helped me understand all the procedures.I understand that Financial Aid doesnt cover all the tuition but this is such a great school that Im willing to pay the rest of the tuition. Of course as a single mother of two beautiful kids , this is going to be a bit difficult for me, so Im applying to as many scholorships I can find, which isnt much. The value of my education does matter to me and is woth the tuition because I love working in the medical field. I have my CNA license and am pursuing my career as a Medical Assistant. Im not able to jump straight into the LVN program because I would like to work and be their for my children as well, since their ages are 10 and 12.The tuition will pay off for me later on in the future when I decide to become an Registered Nurse.

Interactive Classes – Our school is a hands on interactive school. The professors are right there to help you every step of the way. The classes are very small about ten to fifteen students in each class, so your able to get the hands on training and the personal attention you need.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Why Put Your Education on Hold. The money im paying for my school is well worth every penny. I did get a little help from Financial aid. The school aslo gave me a grant as well for being a single parent. I would say if you can qualify for financial aid take advantage of it, that leaves you less to pay back just incase you end up in a situation your not prepared for.
