There are so many campus resources available at Kaskaskia College. The library is full of computers, books, and other resources for the students to access. The college also has a success center where students can go to make up tests, get tutoring for any of their classes or any other help they may need with school.

The curriculum that Kaskaskia College has to offer is great. It is a great college to get your general education in or you could even major in any of the programs (cosmotology, automotive, PTA, etc.) All the counselors are easy to work with. The teachers are very understanding and helpful. I do feel that some of the classes workload is a little much and others there is not enough. Overall it is a great place to start a college experience.

K.C has many free services like WiFi which is very helpful when doing homework or other task. They also have a free gym and workout room, which makes working out so much easier. Overall they have many resources, all of them are very great and I wouldn't change anything about them.

K.C. has a very good career center and they help find many jobs in your area of specialty. They have many options to choose from and have job listings posted all over the school. K.C. is very helpful and I will continue to use their resources.

K.C. has a great gym on campus, with many training program options. When looking for sport options K.C. has many including baseball, basketball, tennis, and soccer. Over all, K.C. is a college of many opertunities and if you work hard you will succeed.

I believe Kaskaskia College has many great resources. I've been to a couple of colleges and I would choose K.C. out of all of them when it comes to accesability.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
It's very affordable compared to other Community Colleges.

They have a pretty flexible transfer credit policy.

So far I've only taken one online class and it was only a pass or fail grade. - I passed. I am now beginning an online class in business, though, so I will know in a few weeks what kind of experience I have.

There have been sevearl issues with the school systems, including the one for classes, and the one for student connection. As for computer use, good luck. Either your battling for a computer at the lab, or the mac you need to use is never free. Its almost a guarantee.

As long as things are not online, things are pretty good. Flexibility can be difficult, though. Try to take your required classes right away, because then you have four semesters to get a slot you like. Otherwise, you get stuck with what they have that semester, if they have it.

You can go and learn about local jobs, get helping building a resume, learn interview skills, go through a mock interview, and so on. However as for connecting you with employers, I have not known the college specificly to do that.

Hardly any interaction, the program is a pain to use, and if instructors arent consistent with due dates, you tend to fall behind quick. I really would choose in person if I could.

The online course website has a 24-hour tech support group to help with technical issues. Textbooks for every class are available and at reasonable prices. There are several amazing clubs to join and always something to do on campus, like the fitness center and fitness trail or watching TV and playing games in the student center. Students can also work on-campus.

You have to stay more on-top with online classes. There's no way to come face-to-face with the professor unless you schedule an appointment, which is kind of inconvenient. Also, you pretty much have to rely on your own interpretation of the textbook as discussions can be a bit iffy.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The tuition is relativly small and there are many financial aid opportunities for students working in different fields and from different finacial backgrounds.
College Senior 2013-01-17T21:21:07Z
The course-work is pretty easy but time management is a must. It is very easy to forget to turn in assignments.

For the most part, all of the students get along well and work well together. There is not very much ethnic diversity, but everyone is different in their own way. Many of my classmates are working- class people trying to better their lives on their limited budget. The level of acceptance is amazing, particularly if one compares it to the how little people accept one another in high school.

the school offers the right courses for my major at the college
College Senior 2012-11-11T15:29:00Z
some of the students seem to think they are better than thou and have attitudes even though we are all there to do the same thing which is to learn. I feel we should all be equal----young and middle-aged to old
College Senior 2012-11-11T15:26:09Z
they offer a variety of academics that are plainly excellent

I feel this is one of the best two year colleges in the state of IL. The teachers are very knowledgable and willing to help if you are having trouble with any subjects. The guidance counsellor has helped me greatly with registration and financial aid.

I chose Kaskaskia College is because I live so close to the school and its the only college that is close to me that has a Culinary Arts program. That is the degree I am achieving.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
