For the most part, all of the students get along well and work well together. There is not very much ethnic diversity, but everyone is different in their own way. Many of my classmates are working- class people trying to better their lives on their limited budget. The level of acceptance is amazing, particularly if one compares it to the how little people accept one another in high school.

some of the students seem to think they are better than thou and have attitudes even though we are all there to do the same thing which is to learn. I feel we should all be equal----young and middle-aged to old

Studen Diversity – There is a vast range of diversity at Kaskaskia College. There is a wide range of ages of students as well as backgrounds. It's difficult to describe a typical student because there are so many differences. However, the majority are young people who are looking to better their career options in the economy we presently live in.

Pretty Average – Most of the students at Kaskaskia tend to fall into one of two categories. Either you have full time students from working class families also juggling a full time job just to pay the tuition bill, like me. Then there is the other category where there is the full time student that does not have to work. Everyone socializes pretty well in the class room as well as outside in the cafeteria and labs.

The student body consists of mostly local students. Over half of my graduating class, from Centralia High School, now attend Kaskaskia College. I am ready to see more news faces from different areas. Most are very freindly. The ethnicity mostly includes whites and African Americans. I do not know much about the economic or politial sides of the student body. There are no sexual or religious judgements that I have seen or heard of. It is a friendly environment.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
